How valuable is Lofa Tatupu in a dynasty league? Would you trade a second tire WR for him? I did a search on him here and the most recent threads I could find were from 2005.

Depends on your scoring system, league tendencies and roster makeup.Tatupu will score at or slightly better than 2005 numbers IMO. You'll need to have some idea of how your league values LB1 talent relative to each position (eg. could you get more back?) and whether your starting lineup is improved more with one vs the other. In my leagues, where LB1 score about equal to upper level WR2 I'm unlikely to make this deal unless I'm drastically improving a starting WR position and have a reasonable option behind Tatupu while trying to win now. Too much long term value in Tatupu -- no reason to think he isn't a LB1 for the next three seasons, which should be your default rolling time frame.

I have the WR (Williamson Minn) and am looking at trading him for Tatupu. 1point per rec.

I dont know the exact defense scoring system but I can look it up at home. This league is a little different as the defense is dynasty and offense is redraft. I am pretty well set at WR and I have Williamson as a WR 4-5 on my team.

Unless your scoring is 70-30 offense defense, then getting a long term keeper for a WR who looks like a possible breakout guy but still dropped three balls yesterday who you can't keep and may not use anyway looks like a great move to me.

It being the case that you can keep Tatupu, I would deal troy williamson in a second.

Trade O for D when you can in that league and not hurt your starting O much, until you've got max D keepers. You'll be slightly mortaging this year for major returns down the road. You may need to be careful about getting too stacked on D, and having the league change rules on you.
