Very important move for the Pats long-term...with him, Volmer and Solder they have the nucleus of a good line for years to come...if the Cannon kid develops it looks even better...Mankins provides this line with a lot of nasty attitude and you could see the difference in the line's play when he came back last year...it will also be nice to put this whole contract thing in the past as it was somewhat of a nuisance...

After two years of bickering, it's great to see Kraft and Mankins bury the hatchet. This is a huge signing for the Pats, probably the most important of the offseason.
