Lookin' for this years "Mike Bell" (1 Viewer)

I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on the guys I picked up

QB Zabransky Houston- obviously not high on him since you didn't list him

WR Price KC - Not much in the WR talent pool in KC

LB Abbate Houston - I think his size just killed his draft status

And one late round drafty

Justice Hairston RB - NE

bloom, what do you know about jerome jackson rb UDFA signed by clevland?
not much. Apparently the Browns think more of him than they do of Tyrone Moss. Jackson was impressive on his very limited carries at Michigan this year, but they just about all came in a 3 game stretch against weak competition. He did not light it up at his pro day - running in the 4.6s
Please elaborate...
well they cut Moss when they signed Jackson, so it's hard to draw any other conclusion.
LOL, yeah that would say that now, huh? Sorry hadn't heard that he was cut, thought they just added without subtracting. Thanks for clarification!

just not impressed with zabransky, but maybe he's a candidate to convert to safety or WRPrice I really like - I think I talked about him earlier in the thread, and he was in the predraft 100Abbate was also held back by an injured hammy suffered 2 days before the combine. He told us on the audible that he was running mid 4.6s before that, but the best time he could muster before the draft was around 5.0. I am pulling for Abbate, not Im not sure how he would fit in in Houston - WLB I guess?Hairston - a utility back who can do some damage on special teams - rutgers transfer, and great kid, got to talk to him for a while in el paso - seems like the type who will be a success whether in football or elsewhere.

My Favorite UDFA QB: From the Great DraftDaddy UDFA Floodlist

Matt Moore, QB, DAL (Oregon St) - Scrappy QB who has a chance to win the #3 and be behind an old man and a possible one year wonder.

Josh Swogger, QB, KC (Montana/Wash St) -Sturdy, Calm QB who has a chance to win the #3 and be behind an old man and an unproven 3rd rnd pick.

Toby Korrodi, QB, ARI (Central Missouri St) - Great arm but raw - Kurt Warner won't last much longer and 3rd string job is open IIRC
I liked these 3 before the draft. Moore and Swogger are in a good spot, but Korrodi has a lot of work to do to beat out Leinart long term.

Darius Walker RB Houston- shiftier in the hole than people give him credit for, more quick than fast, good hands, decisive runner.

There's a ton of people in front of him on the depth chart, but no real quality beyond A. Green. Green isn't getting any yonger and is only a little over a year removed from a pretty bad injury.

Not a great chance, but maybe.

I just picked up RB Gary Russell in a deep 16 team league. I saw him play in college and was very impressed. He was a great player for the one year he played a lot in Minnesota. 1200 yards, 6 yards per carry and 18 TD's at a major college program is nothing to sneeze at. He has a lot of upside, and who knows, maybe he can get his head on straight one day. From what I read, he doesn't seem like a very motivated person, but felt it was worth the shot since it is just an end of roster spot. After all, this is a deep sleeper post. Hopefully, this guy will wake up from the deep sleep he appears to be in.

Along with him, I picked up 3 other UDFA's: QB Matt Gutierrez, WR Dave Ball and the above mentioned RB Tyrone Moss. I also drafted RB Selvin Young, because there is no such thing as a bad Denver RB prospect. :2cents:

EDIT to add: I didn't even realize Russell had signed with the Steelers. I can't think of too many better places for him to be.
can someone tell me what team signed David Ball?tia.

Chicago Bears did. There's an entire thread on his prospects to make the team.Id

I thought that the Texans had too many RBs on their roster but I'm suprised that Walker didn't even make it to training camp. Per KFFL:

Texans | Walker releasedMon, 23 Jul 2007 14:16:15 -0700The Houston Texans have announced they have released RB Darius Walker.

Geez where do I start? Some of my favorites, some based on the player, some based on the team.Brandon Myles, WR, NYGMaurice Price, WR, KCMike Mason, WR, CLEPaul Mosley, RB, PITDanny Ware, RB, TENMarcus O'Keith, RB, KC
Jets Claim Waived UDFA RB Danny Ware The Jets have picked up Danny Ware, former Georgia Bulldog Running Back off of waivers. Ware was signed to the Titans, and subsequently cut when the Jets picked up the runner.
