I know it is early (it is never really too early is it? :) ), but at our draft we draw cards to set the pick order for next year. I unfortunately drew the first pick next year.

This year I had the #8 pick and went Gronk in the first. Currently in 2nd place and 3rd overall in points. The injuries to the RBs this year and questions on RBs got me thinking, would you take Gronk first overall. I went Gronk in the first, Calvin in the second and filled in my late RBs with Gore, Stewart and Foster. Foster was ripping it up for me until he got hurt of course and I have been able to piece together RBs from the waiver wire to go along with Stewart and Gore.

It seems like injuries aside, right now Gronk is the safest floor/ceiling pick there is.

Gurley will probably be the highest RB. Gronk will be the highest TE. Julio will be the highest WR. QB?....probably Rodgers, but I don't know about that.

To me, RB has been devalued so much in the NFL these days....that a legit bellcow is gold. To that, I'd probably go Gurley. Gronk's Gronk........but A) I think you have to start wondering when Brady's going to hit the wall and B) there's been such a renassiance at TE.....I think there's TE's that you can pick up later that will come close to Gronk's numbers.

I did two really early drafts this year where we drafted in June. I wasn't as prepared as I should have been, so I felt Gronk was the safest pick both times.

Took him at 1.1 and followed with Foster and CJ Anderson. Hanging onto the 6 seed, even though I lost Foster and Steve Smith.

Took him at 1.7 and followed with Jeffery and JStew. I was also able to get Brady in round 9. #1 seed right now since Jeffery is the only injury I have had to deal with and Crabtree, Diggs and Snead have helped as FA pickups.

My thought right now is I'd prefer the #6 position and take whichever of Gurley, Freeman, Bell, Brown, Julio and Gronk falls.

A lot will change between now and next August, I'm sure.

I absolutely can see Antonio Brown and possibly Julio (assuming they both stay healthy the rest of this season) being picked #1 overall next year over the likes of Gurley, Gronk, and a small handful of others. It will be VERY interesting to see how the cards will fall..
