Share your thoughts on owning patriots players for week 16. assuming going into week 16 undefeated vs having loss(es) between now and then.

The way this season is going, I don't expect to have any Patriots left to play by then...

But, seriously: I don't think BB sits them all down. Maybe in week 17, but no sooner.

Right, because last time Belichick made it to 15-0 he pulled all his starters.

Oh sorry, that was Jim Caldwell. I get them mixed up all the time.

Good point. By that point, their starting WRs will be Moss, Branch and Troy Brown, and they'll need to sit in the 2nd half for their daily nap.

They won't be 15-0 so it won't matter.
I think this annual ritual where we worry over Week 16 starters is silly -- even if it did happen, which it almost never does, what are you going to do? Bench Brady and Gronk? -- I will say that IF it does happen, the bigger risk would be the Pats at 14-1 with HFA already clinched. BB has already shown he'll go for 16-0 if he has the chance.

If the Pats win this week they clinch their division. Pats can clinch home field advantage in week 14, sooner if Cincy drops another one.

If the Pats are sitting on 15 wins going into week 17 I think they make a modest attempt at 16

Brady / Julian / Amendola owner and I'm just as worries about the stats drop off that is coming. Can't see anyway Brady is going to have even 75% of the numbers with this crew of WR's. Not much you can really do at this point of the season.

We don't need to guess. We saw this in 2007 and they went all out vs NYG.

They weren't dealing with this kind of injury dilemma in 07 or any year that I can think of.But I do think it's more likely than not they go for it.

If they're 15-0, they're going to play their starters week 16.

If they're 14-1, I'm genuinely worried they won't.

It could mean knocking the Jets out of the playoffs though, so they may still go all out.

Julian will not be playing for you week 16 regardless.

I said it in the other thread about players resting for playoffs, but I just don't see anyway that a QB will go from Week 15 (December 20th) to Second Round of playoffs (January 16/17th) without playing meaningful football.. That's almost a month.

Perhaps skill position players could be rested, but even in that case it would likely be in a blowout or after the game is in hand.

There is a simpler explanation.

If they sat their starters in Weeks 16 and 17 and have a bye in Week 18, it would mean almost a month off between games. It just doesn't happen.
