Looking for a redraft fantasy mentor (1 Viewer)

I want to get into high stakes leagues. I might not be ready now but I want to be ready. What must I do and how can I prepare to compete in leagues like that?

High stakes league have a mix of two kinds of players in my opinion: 1) People that can afford it whether they win or lose  2) Those that are more competitive and typically do well.

A lot of the higher stakes leagues don't allow trading. If you don't nail your draft, then it becomes tougher to improve your team without being able to trade for players. A lot of the sleepers will be gone in the draft before free agency. Free agency is also tougher. You have to really think ahead before players breakout.

Make sure you're competitive in lower stakes leagues before you join a higher stakes league. That's the bottom line. Just common sense.

Good response on the types of players in high stakes.  You state you 'might not be ready' but would like to prepare to compete.

Some sights offer concierge services to help you manage your fantasy team and help you prepare for your draft.  I'm sure some fee applies with that service so you may want to test that option if it doesn't cost too much but I would avoid any high stakes fantasy leagues until you feel confident.

Never gamble more than you are willing to lose.

Personally, having large sums of money invested in fantasy football would preclude me from enjoying the hobby.
