Looking for a start up (1 Viewer)

Not interested in taking over a team, I have had bad luck with them.

Looking for a 12 to 16 team league start up, No IDP, buy in from 50 to 250.

I enjoy the larger and more flexible starting lineups leagues, prefer super flex compared to 2 qb leagues.

I am flexible on scoring.

Larger starting lineups would be something like these

1 qb 1 rb, 1 wr, 1 te, kicker and defense is option and 4 or 5 flex spots or

1qb, 2rb, 3wr, 1 te and 2 flex

League safe is also a must or something like it is also a must.

Checkout my post...

Not a Superflex, but we do have 6 pt. touchdowns for QB's and bonus points for passing yardage to make the QB position more valuable, and combined rushing + receiving yardage bonuses for the other positions. Salary cap with annual auction and rookie draft. Starting lineups are 11 starters - 1QB, 1-4 RB's, 3-6 WR's, 1-3 TE's, 1K, 1 Def. PPR tiered by position (0.5 for RB, 1 for WR, 1.5 for TE). Fee is $75 with a 1-year prepay, using Leaguesafe with the majority vote option.

Looks like a decent league, but I wouldn't be interested in devy players at all. Part of the reason I don't do IDP is because of the time to learn all those players and they play in the NFL, I don't want to have to get into another league of this sport so I can keep up and draft the right college guys that are still playing in college. I also don't do leagues where trades are voted on or need approval.

I think I have finally decided on what I consider to be the ideal settings and I'm considering starting a new dynasty league this year:

  • 14 team
  • $50 buy in (Leaguesafe). Might have ppl pay first year and a half to ensure they come back next year?
  • FAAB waivers
  • Full PPR
  • 1QB/2RB/3WR/1TE/Flex/DST
Would you be interested? I don't really want to use kickers but that's up for debate. I'm also open to 2nd flex. Haven't talked to anybody else about it yet so strictly hypothetical.

I like this idea and would be more than willing to help set up rules that I like or at least make options that we could vote on once we fill the league. I have never ran a league and I am not sure I would like to.

I like the paying a year and half to keep owners around.

I like having a toilet bowl for the teams that don't make the playoffs and they can play an extra pick at the end of the 1st round.

I am indifferent on having a kicker, adding another flex might be tough with 14 teams, but I like a challenge.

I have always wanted to try putting in a best ball flex, in a one of my dynasty leagues we have to put in a tie breaker player in case of a tie so you could set it up that way and then each team has their flex player and a tie breaker player. Which ever player scores higher is put into your lineup.

I like the way this is sounding so far. I am currently the commissioner of 1 redraft and 1 keeper league, so I have some experience with it. I would probably drop one of those if I had to manage this league but it would be really nice to have some help in the startup and recruiting phases. The best ball flex is the one thing I'm not wild about but we are just spit-balling here and there are only a few things that are really off the table for me (Devy, IDP, 2QB, contracts, high stakes).

Does that dude in the picture with you (bf/husband?) play fantasy? My wife plays so we may have as many as 4 ppl already.

Anybody else who is interested let me(us) know!

He does, but we have tried to play in a league together before and it just doesn't work well. This was 10 or so years ago and it was a local league that was filled with friend, family and other couples. The problem with those leagues and why we left them is because everyone questions your trades if they are too each other, and there is no way to win in that scenario because everyone values players differently.

I agree that everyone values players differently and I would imagine that is even more the case in dynasty leagues where we are projecting value years in the future and not just within a season. That's why, like you said, its no fun to play in a league where every trade gets voted on or needs approval, so we don't need to do that in this league. Obviously collusion is always forbidden but we could put an extra clause in the league constitution about it and make sure that everyone understands that there will be no trade vetos so your honor and fantasy karma are at stake. If it really becomes an issue we could deal with it in the offseason and make a decision together.

I played in 3 leagues with my wife last year and we had a lot of fun. We are way too competitive to collude with one another and I would imagine its the same with most couples that play fantasy. If you want to give it another shot with him I think that's fine, if you don't want to and/or would be uncomfortable with both my wife and me being in the league let me know.

FYI I have gotten 3 emails from interested ppl so that is 5 including you and me, 7 if we include our significant others. This thing might really happen!

@Msudaisy26 I have 13 other people who have said they were interested over the last couple of weeks. Do you still want to be a part of this? I started a new league at myfantasyleague.com and I would like to email everybody to make sure they are still interested and start voting on rules so that we can pay for the league before June 10 to save $20 off the regular price.
