Looking for Duke basketball tickets (1 Viewer)

I can't find the ACC basketball thread here since this search engine is from ####ing 1988.

I am in Raleigh Durham all week and want to go see Duke tomorrow. I was reading online that it is surprisingly easy to buy tickets from a scalper or season ticket holder outside the arena. Anybody have any info on this or know where to go to get tickets?

I loathe Duke but have always wanted to see a game there. Any info is appreciated. TYIA

No idea. Stubhub has no dook tix for tomorrow. I bet you can get some by showing up & looking for the guys holding tickets in the air. Be prepared to drop a $cupper load of cash.

Lol. Yea I am tempted to buy from there but overnight delivery for a 4 pm game the next day = I just don't know.

I always get reasonably-priced tickets to events at the last minute through Craigslist. It looks like there are currently some Duke vs. Long Beach tickets on sale on Craigslist for $75-100. The prices will likely drop even more tomorrow when people inevitably back out of going to the game at the last minute. Here are a few listings currently on Craigslist:

https://raleigh.craigslist.org/tix/5375044905.html (lower level center court for $80 - I would probably jump on this ticket if still available)

https://raleigh.craigslist.org/tix/5379016731.html (section 16 facing the Duke bench for $100)

https://raleigh.craigslist.org/tix/5378518991.html (section 5 for $75 -- face value)

College basketball in Cameron is one of the best sporting experiences in the world. Just be warned that this game -- a non-conference game over Christmas break while the vast majority of Duke students will be back home -- will likely be the worst game atmosphere for the entire season in Cameron. The students are what make Cameron Stadium, and it won't feel nearly the same going to a game over Christmas break. That said, as long as you manage your Cameron Crazies expectations, I definitely think it is a worthwhile bucket list experience to go to a Duke basketball game in Cameron.

do they sell duke tickets on the gametime app? That's where I get all of my warrior tickets from these days.

One advantage of the games over Christmas is that they sell general admission tickets for the student section to the public since most of the students won't be in town. It is rare opportunity to get into the student section next to the court without a student ID. You will likely have to stand for most of the game, but that is the type of unique experience that I would be looking for if I was going to Cameron. That first Craigslist ticket listed above appears to be one of those tickets.

buy a Duke sweatshirt and wear it outside Cameron. or, if you have a kid with you, put them in the Duke sweatshirt. Some alum will sell you tickets for face value as they walk up.

Found 1 in section 16. Picking it up in the morning.

Thanks to everybody who looked. Awesome board.

I've been going to NC for years and have never been there while Duke was at home. Usually go Christmas week however and not New Years. It's been so many years that I didn't even look this time just assuming they weren't home. Then I decided to check this morning....

Nice! Have fun at the game and go Duke!

still a big fan of Satisfactions for pre- or post-game pizza

and i haven't been there in a long time, but my go-to BBQ in Durham was Bullocks. There are probably better places now, though.

Great experience. 5 stars would do again.

The museum is EXCELLENT by the way. I wish FSU put that much devotion into their half-assed hall.
