Looking for feedback on an app idea (1 Viewer)

Hi guys,

Looking for feedback on an app idea:

Lets say you are unwillingly not in front of a TV/Redzone on a Sunday. If you are like me, you want to see live play by play of more than one game at a time (like the live ESPN NFL Scoreboard, NFL.com's scoreboard, or CBS Sportsline does). For years I have not found any app that does this. I know screen size is limited, but I don't see how you couldn't get live play-by-play of 3 or 4 games at one time on a mobile screen? Obviously ton of apps offer this one game at a time, but not multiple.

Is this something people would be interested in for 99 cents or $1.99? Or am I the only one that would care?

Not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for, but here's something I recently discovered that can be effective:

Use Twitter.

Follow accounts that provide live at-by-play (Examples: @steelers_pbp , @titans_pbp , @colts_pbp ..... all team specific accounts are similar).

Set up a Twitter List which includes the specific teams/games you want to follow.

The accounts are fairly close to real time.

This might be exactly what you, or others, are looking for to follow games play-by-play.

Hope that helps.

I would think one of 2 things will happen:

You'll have to secure permission from many parties to broadcast this and will give up or run out of money.

If it works and is great they'll shut you down in a heartbeat to do it in house.

I like you're thinking but I'm pretty sure that mega corporation that is the NFL will squash it.

I didn't realize that would be close to real time. I'll look into that method, sounds promising.

I did look into this aspect of it... apparently the play by play feed everyone uses is open license. Which surprised me too.

It's out there and people use it, but it is not open license as far as I know. The NFL could change their format at a moments notice.
