idp auction in one day? You are looking at a 6 hour plus draft. Most people cannot handle two hours from my experience.
Slow auction? Forget it. A league might not complete that till after Week 1.
I am considering creating a league like what you want... for 2015.

I have a start up with 6 openings left. We're going to start on August 10th which will give us 3 weeks to complete.

FYI...slow auctions go faster than you think. I'm in a 16 team slow-auction IDP dynasty start-up with 52 man rosters (24-hour timer). We started last Wed and after 5 days we had almost 500 players gone. Will be done 10 days after the auction started.
