Looking for in-season strategies (1 Viewer)

Hey guys, I'm part of a new league of guys made up of from our football league. Most owners don't really know what is going on, but in the true spirit of FBG, I'm ready to dominate!

I feel like I have a solid team, but was curious to know what are some strategies that I can apply and really dominate them.

Or is watching the waiver wire and trying to develop trades enough? What you got?

Try to make trades for proven players that slump early.

Last year Johan Santana went 1-3 with a 4.45 era in April and I was able to trade for him without giving up too much. Same thing with Teixeira.

Research which good players are slow starters or ones that are in an early slump and go after them.

sportsline ranks them periodically if you use them. it's on their homepage.honestly it's still so early that not a lot has changed from the preseason lists except for injuries.

I think the big thing between football and baseball is that a baseball player, even a high draft pick, can tank it for a month or more... and still be worth it by the time the season ends.

That rarely happens in football.

Don't be tempted to do anything rash, but pounce if you can find someone else who is.
