i have some BYE week slots to fill this weekend and im looking for backup RBs that will get playing time this weekend due to injury, RBBC, etc. Basically, im looking for this week's Kenton Keith ...

Maurice M. in Seattle. Alexander has been handling the ball gingerly...the game with NO could get out of hand and Holmgren says he wants to get Mo some mo carries.

 I keep reading this, but its misconstrued.

More carries - as compared to what he is currently getting - he wants MoMo to get back up to what he used to do. Which isnt a lot.

"I'm not doing anything different, I'm just doing it the way that we used to do it before Mo got hurt," Holmgren said.

Holmgren has been saying that for about ten years now, and Morris hasn't really produced when called upon anyway. Fool's gold.

I completely agree but what is interesting is that for the first time that I can remember Holmgren seems to be annoyed with Alexander's results on the field. He has usually brushed all talk of Alexander aside with a "Shaun will get his yards in the flow of the game" type comment but now he genuinely seems concerned about the running game. It would not suprise me to see Morris in for a couple of series a half and more 3rd downs. Now this IS what it was like 3-4 years ago so no big shakeup - but the Seahawks seem to have gotten away from a change of pace back in recent seasons.

BigSteelThrill is correct. Morris should be getting his usually handful of touches in a game. Reviewed his Monday morning press conference (again) and he doesn't allude at all to taking any reps away from Shaun to pay Morris. Business as usual.

Unfortunately.

not sure if you are trying to prove me wrong or what, but notice in 2006 Morris STARTED 8 games and in 2005 he STARTED 2 games - inflating those totals for the last two years.

I was just extrapolating upon MoMo's past performance.

Showing that MoMo never got any amount of carries worth anything except when SA was out.
