Looking for new league scoring option (1 Viewer)

I was in a standard yahoo league last year.  I came in last place despite having the second highest total points.  Essentially every team peaked when they played my team and I never came close to making the playoffs.

Are there any leagues where a team's total points is incorporated into the standings and not just the head to head?  I was thinking of a league that awards a W if you win head to head but another W if your team score is higher than the average league score for the week.  In other words each week your team could go either 2-0, 1-1, or 0-2.  Yahoo doesn't appear to have that flexibility.

I've seen a lot of leagues use Victory Points to determine standings. I don't play in any leagues like this, but I think they work like this:

A H2H win = 1 VP
A top half of the league weekly score = 1 VP (i.e. in a 12 team league, top 6 scoring teams)

So each week, you could get 0, 1 or 2 VPs towards standings.

I know that MFL has settings for scoring like this

Hi there. I posted for an opening in my Keeper Auction Salary Cap League.

Our playoffs structure awards 3 spots based on W/L and another 3 based on total points.  So essentially you are playing against every other team each week.  Obviously there are teams that would qualify based on both criteria so this ensures that the best teams get into the playoffs.

1st seed:  Team with best WL

2nd Seed:  Highest scoring team remaining

3rd seed:  next highest WL of remaining teams

4th seed:  next highest scoring team of remaining

5th seed:  next highest WL of remaining teams

6th seed:  next highest scoring team of remaining

That assures us of getting the best teams in the playoffs.  Victory Points is a good way to do it as well.  But this seems to work great for us.

We have one spot remaining, hmu if you are interested
