I run a free custom league within Yahoo. We have 8 existing members and have operated the league with this many for a few years but we used to have ten or twelve so we are looking for 2 or 4 more players.
How it works:
-We generate a power ranking of all 32 NFL teams based on multiple rankings provided by reliable and reputable NFL sources.
-We put all of the names of our managers in a hat and draw an order.
-The manager who draws #1 then select one of the 32 NFL teams. This is followed by the manager who draws #2, etc. until all managers have selected a team.
-In reverse order, managers then draw a second team, until all managers have two teams selected.
-These two teams form the foundation of your fantasy team where you fill roster spots (2QB, 4WR, 3RB, 1TE, 1W/R/T, 2K, 2B, 3DB, 2DL, 3LB).
-Based on the combined power rankings (say you select the #4 and #21 ranked teams, your combined power ranking is 25); the manager with the highest power ranking total then selects one player from any of the remaining 'unchosen' teams. This is completed on a snake draft basis, similar to the two team selection.
-At the conclusion of the draft, each manager will have access to players from two full teams in addition to two players from the remaining unchosen teams.
-Managers select the players they want from their two teams and the league begins. We then restrict access to players on the chosen teams for the first 2 or 3 weeks; after which all managers have access to all players at any time.
-Managers are limited to 5 moves per month however moves for players on your two chosen teams will always be refunded.
Would love to add a few more people; we are a very relaxed yet competitive in a friendly sense.
