I've been in a great league for 11 years but, like all good things, it's time for it to come to an end. Some of the owners are moving on, others have become jerks, and frankly it just seems like time to start over in 2009.
I'd like to set up a 10-team league (two divisions). The first year we'd draft from scratch and then each year thereafter you have two keepers required going into the draft (but all other players go back into the draft pool).
We'd have 20-man rosters (plus one slot for IR).
We'd start 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 3 Flex, 1 TE, 1 PK, and 3 IDP Flex.
I'd be willing to do an inexpensive ($50 or less per team) money league or else just play for a big trophy that would travel from winner to winner each year.
Live draft (in person if possible, but we could do it over the phone as well) each August.
I live in the Seattle area but would be willing to play with people in any location.
I want guys who are avid NFL fans, who love the game and who don't take this game so seriously they can't have fun.
I want guys who can keep it clean and not feel like they have to use profanity, etc. I have kids and I don't want them looking over my shoulder on Sundays seeing or reading stuff that's inappropriate for them.
If this sounds like a league you'd be interested in, let me know. I'm happy to be the commish or let someone else do it for 2009.
