I keep seeing the ad for Lootcrate.com popping up in my facebook feed.

Seems like a cool idea for random gifts but it has the potential to just be random garbage we'd never use or care about.

Has anyone used it? Do you get stuff that makes it worthwhile? We don't really collect any of this type of stuff but with four boys (and a Dad) who like Marvel, Star Wars, DC and Nintendo, it could be kind of cool.

Tempted to try it for a month for less than $20 but if others have had bad experiences, we won't.

I got it for my nephew for Christmas, I got him a 3 month subscription. He likes it, but I don't think there is anything that great that comes, just a random box of crap.
