Why this guy has a gig on ESPN is beyond me  :goodposting:

Anybody else watching College GAmeday and his thoughts on Pryor/Tressel and Rich Rod....he is completely out there :goodposting:

Lou lost his mind years ago. His tenure at South Carolina was fraught with banquets and speaking gigs where he often told the same jokes in the same night, not recalling he'd told them earlier.

And can't they find some serious Poligrip or something for those constantly-slipping dentures? He sounds like Mel Blanc doing Sylvester the Cat.

He has a face made for radio, a voice made for newsprint, and an opinion made for the funny farm.

I find it ironic that Gil Brandt has aged "well enough" to be on radio, yet they keep trotting Holtz out on TV...guy should just get a seat next to **** Clark on New Year's Eve and call it a career...

ESPN's isn't stupid, they know he's insane and (at best) mediocre at his job.... but he's entertaining. People watch him because he's so absurd and want to hear what he's going to say next, good or bad. Therefore he draws interest from viewers, and therefore that makes him an excellent candidate for his job.

Supposedly, "Radio" is turning heads in the ESPN Executive group and is favored to take over for Holtz, sooner rather than later...
