Louis Murphy (1 Viewer)

Very nice. He's one of the few Raiders that appears to be hustling on every play. If only his fire can catch on with his teammates too.

Saw that play in highlights last night. What a gamer. Wonder what the Raiders would be like if the rest of the team showed that kind of heart? Especially their QB.

Murphy has a bright future for the Raiders. Guy is very fast and can get open, his knock at Florida was his hands.

The games I saw, I felt he had better potential in the pros than Percy Harvin.

Definitely a guy to stash in dynasty leagues.

It's painful seeing the low production, but I agree he's an excellent stash if you have the room. He wants to prove he should have been drafted higher and plays with a lot of fire. He has all the tools to be successful and hopefully he'll get the opportunity in the next few seasons.

It's very rare for a rookie receiver to have fantasy worthy stats. He is targeted a lot, and has no problem getting separation from cornerbacks, which is a great sign for future success. Unfortunately he plays with a qb who is woefully inaccurate.

This might be my favorite highlight from yesterdays games. 3 blocks on one play, hustling downfield like that. Great effort play from the rook.

Thanks to the OP for bringing this here.

So upset when the dolphins passed on murphy and took the stiff from USC (pat turner). You f'n scouted percy for christ's sake, you couldn't look at a tape or two of Lou?

Under Urban Meyer, if a WR doesn't block, he doesn't play. You can definitely see the dividends it pays for Florida, and guys like Harvin, Murphy, and Caldwell have shown how well it translates to the NFL. Despite all that stigma about Florida WRs, the Meyer WRs are really making a name for themselves in the league so far.

The sad thing is, when Schilens comes back, the Raiders are going to send Muphy to the bench so they can keep Heyward-Bey on the field. Because they're the Oakland Raiders.

Is this the same Loise Murphy that failed to make a single catch yesterday?Yeah, heckuva football player there. Stash him on your bench if you got the room.
There is more to Football than just Fantasy leagues. It sad to me when some around here don't seem to enjoy that. I like FF because it makes me more likely to watch a Seattle/Jacksonville game. Murphy's play was outstanding and I am sure all the Zach Miller owner's appreciated the blocking.

the raiders have actually hit quite a bit on their mid round selections--it's the players selected in the first round that has provided the most problems.

some of it's bad luck--can't miss guys like gallery and huff haven't performed up to everyone's expectations--and other players like dhb should not have been selected so high. then again, everyone said the raiders reached on asomugha at the end of the first round and he's turned out much better than expected...

russell and mcfadden in hindsight look like mistakes, but they weren't stretches.

i know cable said this, but the last i head of it was after week one or two. i can't imagine that's still the case.

It's the Raiders. Cable doesn't have any say in the matter.

Best to just add that clown to your ignore list. His only mission here is to troll. You're welcome.

Bold statement. That means that in your expert opinion as a Titans fan, a majority of Raiders don't hustle on every play, correct?

Please point out, by name, every member of the Raiders who don't hustle on every play.

He said "appears". No need to flame him. I'm sure with the Raidahs continued "Commitment to Excellence" the hustle plays will continue to be so obvious. :lmao:

Imagine Philly's embarrassment, losing to a team which doesn't hustle.

As they should be. But that still doesn't take away from the Raiders lack of hustle, talent, leadership, coaching, excellence, etc. ;)
