Luck v Brady- Trendy v Boring (Question for Audible Tonight) (1 Viewer)

Why is Luck consistently automatically listed as the next QB or two after the big 3 of Peyton/Brees/Rodgers with a bad O-Line and a pretty dysfunctional offensive scheme that is struggling with its identity.

Meanwhile, Brady has just one bad half-season (2013 first 8 gms) in the past 4 yrs and in a very comfortable scheme on a team that will have to throw throw throw. Tim Wright addition and possible Ridley deletion means even more red zone passes.

Am I missing something? Isn't Brady the better bet each week to get 2-3 TD and 275-300 yds?

Why do the Pats have to throw, throw, throw? They have a potentially dominate defense. I agree there will be a high volume of passes but they can still be balanced on offense. My guess is we will see a hodge podge of running backs including Ridley (he won't get cut IMO) White, Bolden, etc.

But I do agree Brady is in a better situation than Luck.

They don't have to, but I see them being less balanced this year as well, favoring the pass much more. White hasn't impressed and Ridley CAN NOT be trusted.

I see NE thowing the ball 75 fewer times this year. Brady had 201 passes in the 4th quarter and OT last year. I highly doubt they will be scrambling to stay in games this year if the team collectively stays healthy. They will find guys/ways to run the ball and take time off the clock.

Or literally hand the game over with a free possession courtesy of the Riddler. Run it up.

I see a lot of ranking differences after the top three. Luck may be the most popular among them, but I don't think there's anything like a consensus.

If anything, as I've been tuning in to podcasts and radio shows here in the last week, the healthy Pats receiving corps seem to have Brady looking like the trendy pick.
