M.Bell = crushed (1 Viewer)

Pitt has crushed every back this year, they even kept L.T. in check so if i were you i wouldn't get any bright ideas this week about using M.bell.

This is actually a good post. As bad as PIT has been, they have done their job against RB's at home this year.

Week 1 - MIA Ronnie Brown, 30 yards rushing (granted 2 TD)

Week 3 - CIN Rudi Johnson, 47 yards, 0 TD (only loss at home)

Week 6 - KC Larry Johnson 26 yards, 1 TD

If Denver can't run, can Denver win? That's what we'll find out, but things don't look good for Mike Bell. 50 yards and a score should put a smile on Mike Bell owner's faces.

i made the same point much earlier this week in the TBell thread.

i think he's still good for 60+ just b/c shannie will be committed to the run to set up play action and bootlegs - and he could get a short TD plunge.

However, if you don't have many better options, "the Denver starting RB" is always worth a start in your RB2/flex spot.

What if he blows up big, based on your comments will that make him better than L.T. ? I'm not saying he will but stranger things have happened. Of course this whole thread hinges on him starting and getting the majority of the carries.

i believe he is going to get most of the carries but lets not forget denver put up 31 points against indy but they haven't broke 17 points all year except for that game. true anything can happen but if they stopped some studs i think the chances are they stop bell.

I am not convinced that Denver runs well b/c they have studs.It is not Mike Bell v. Pitt front seven - he has 6 other guys doing things for him.

Like I said in the other thread, I believe Mike Bell will get 65 or so very tough earned yards, and possibly a short plunge.

I think the Broncos will beat the Steelers because they will be able to force Pitt to committ the one extra defender to the box, which will allow Jake to do whjat he does best - bootleg and throw downfield. For betting, though, I wouldn't touch this game unless I were to bet on the Steelers and/or the under. This will be a game of intensity and emotion - whichever team brings the most will win. That team will win b/c I believe the team with better intensity will get the two or three big plays that will swing the game.

I definitely see a pretty good defensive contest b/c these are a coupe of offenses that really don't scare the other's defense. However, I keep envisioning a huge run by Parker - I have the feeling that, at least once in the game, Parker will get around the speedy LB pursuit or will be able to blow past one of them after passing the LOS and will be gone for a huge gainer (like a 45+ yard scamper, maybe getting knocked out of bounds by a safety, maybe finding the zone)

What about Freddie T?? He had 92yds on 22 carries which is 4.2/c.. He also added 30 rec yds vs. Pit this year. I'm starting M Bell with confidence this week. Denver can run on any team. They had success vs. the Ravens which is also a strong run D..

So is the consensus that Tatum will be relegated to the backup role this week or a RBBC. I was considering starting both, but I think I am going to pick Mike Bell and hope for the best. Against another D i would probably start both, but not against this D at home.

FoxSports.com's John Czarnecki reports Mike Bell will start at running back for the Broncos.

Both the Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News also said Mike will get the majority of carries this week against Pittsburgh. We think there's a chance Tatum won't play at all. How else will he heal?

I'm starting Mike Bell also over an injured Portis and Addai

Taylor has an excellent history against Pitt.You should definitely not start MBell with confidence - go read the commentary in the Tatum Bellis probable thread.65 hard earned yards and the possibility of a TD plunge is all I am willing to give him.He definitely will not be "crushed" As I stated above, "the Denver RB" is always worth an RB2 start, but I would hope that I had a relatively equivelant guy with a better matchup - Deuce McAllister, for example.

I have no problems with them shutting TBell down this week in practice, too.Shannie will give TBell back the starter role once he is healthy enough to run effectively. He always gives his injured backs plenty of shots to regain the starter role.

I dont have TBell, but agree with you. This week Mike Bell is starting over TBell and thats all I need to hear. Another poster mentioned Denver can run the ball against anyone even Pittsburgh, and I agree. I dont think Mike Bell will "Go Off" today but 80-100 yds and a TD are within reach.

I was just pointing out that M Bell should easily be able to match or exceed Fred's numbers, just based on Denver's rushing offense and how they seem to do well vs. any defense.. Doesn't matter to me whether T Bell is probably or not.. I just don't believe he will play very much at all..

Me=crushed

I swore to avoid Denver RBs but this week is killing me. RB2 choice between MBell, Bush and Brown (@CHI). About the best I can hope for from any of them is 50-60 and a short plunge.

Didn't see a Tatum pinned thread. Any late updates?
