No more than a few other categories, but will make do.Was thinking of making my category post-1990 instrumental tracks. Hopefully the classic rockers don't find that too restricting.
wait... I thought this was a joke.Any recommended Gay Folk artists I can study up on?
ETA: ...so I can mulligan Rush
pardner?
If you want to change gay/queer folk to the broader bluegrass/country/folk I'm cool with that.
Nordic folk is out, though. And I don't mean that kind of out (NTTAWWT).

not necessarily gay enough for my partner, but probably plenty of room for mandolins. But again, I'm fine with bluegrass/country/folkgo for itIf no one has taken Uruk's spot, I'll come back in. Confirm and I'll pick a category.
You sound surprised..These categories are more Caucasian than the Winter Olympics. Things that white people like: bluegrass, small towns, Rush, Scandinavians, mandolins, The Beatles, multi-movement rock epics, etc.
I'd rather people not have to google search for songs for this one, so if that's the case I'd have no issue making it just instrumental songs. No more than a few other categories, but will make do.Was thinking of making my category post-1990 instrumental tracks. My first pick for your old category is very mad at you. These categories are more Caucasian than the Winter Olympics. Things that white people like: bluegrass, small towns, Rush, Scandinavians, mandolins, The Beatles, multi-movement rock epics, etc.
That's fine for you but I'm hearby changing my category from Songs under 100 sec. to the Best Bassline Ever. Deal with it.
Don't be sad. You can change it back. I was criticizing the gay folk category with my scavenger hunt comment. My first pick for your old category is very mad at you. These categories are more Caucasian than the Winter Olympics. So are the non urban, non R&B, non rap, non hip hop, non gospel, non blues black women musicians of the world.
Every team in this draft could probably satisfy my category with something from Busta Rhyme's catalog. These categories are more Caucasian than the Winter Olympics. Things that white people like: bluegrass, small towns, Rush, Scandinavians, mandolins, The Beatles, multi-movement rock epics, etc.

Just to be clear, it has to be identified as a single track on the original album, e.g. you can't draft side two of Abbey Road.Official category:
Rock songs with at least three movements (clear changes in any or all of instrumentation, tempo, meter)
Three movements means two changes within the song, e.g. Movement A / Movement B / Movement C
It's OK for a movement to be reprised, e.g. Movement A / Movement B / Movement A (reprise) is fine.
Movement changes can be gradual -- no need for hard breaks or momentary silence between movements.

I vote for: 1) Songs from acts in the Prince/Minneapolis lineage without Prince being the featured vocalist.Anyone like one of those better than the others?

Sold.I vote for: 1) Songs from acts in the Prince/Minneapolis lineage, or produced by Prince, without Prince being the featured vocalist.Anyone like one of those better than the others?
Songs written by Prince (or any of his noms de plume) OK?That'll be my category with the "produced by" expansion.
Google tells me that they're goose bumps. Never heard that before. What the hell is chill bumps?
So does this mean music that gives us chills, or is chill bumps/goosebumps a genre?Google tells me that they're goose bumps. Never heard that before. What the hell is chill bumps?

Sure, but it's more of the sound I was going for. The highly Prince flavored song without the full frontal Prince - you know what I mean? His tentacles have gone places some people might not realize. Musically speaking of course.Songs written by Prince (or any of his noms de plume) OK?That'll be my category with the "produced by" expansion.
Good category. Plenty of options. Lots of women wearing lingerie, Some opportunities for "Con-tro-versy" with some of his pseudonyms.Sure, but it's more of the sound I was going for. ... and based on categories, it is shaping up to be a mix not many will want to listen to.This is actually shaping up to be a difficult mix.
Upon further review, a lot of the Prince collaborations from the 80s and early 90s are out of print and/or not on Spotify. I still like the category but it's going to make the final playlists more difficult if people draft something other than the usual hits.Good category. Plenty of options. I changed it to something easier and more flexible/funI currently have absolutely no idea re: mandolins and solo a capella.
No need to change if you like mandolins.Does everyone think mandolins is hard and/or lame? If so I will change it.
Please hold off drafting until the categories are less fluid. So I pick first? Should I go ahead?
Yeah but people are complaining and anyhow I like this new category better. I'll change. Should I go ahead and make the first pick, or wait?No need to change if you like mandolins.Does everyone think mandolins is hard and/or lame? If so I will change it.
Ok Let me know. Please hold off drafting until the categories are less fluid. So I pick first? Should I go ahead?
