Given their teams, contract situations, ages, performances, etc. which do you think has the best chance to be a productive and featured RB in the NFL?

Thanks to whoever fixed the poll!

I would say Norwood first, Jacobs Second, only because of opportunity. Both have aging vets ahead of them that are nearing retirement. If JJones were not there, then, I would say hands down M.Barber.

Turner definitely, but will probably be stuck behind LT for the foreseeable future.
I'd vote Turner. He's a restricted free agent after this year and unrestricted the year after that. So we are 1-2 years away, which is acceptable in a dynasty league. I'm willing to stash him on my roster until that day arrives that he is a starter somewhere.

Turner has to be #1...how many teams do you think he could start for right now, and can you imagine what kind of numbers he would put up.

Norwood seems like he could be the real deal.

would probably go with jacobs next...not high on Barber

I think there's a way for me to add a poll to the original post, but I can't figure it out.

Edit: Never mind. I'm a hero.

You're asking 2 different questions.

1. Which is the next L. Jordan/C. Taylor (means has to switch teams to start)? TURNER

2. which do you think has the best chance to be a productive and featured RB in the NFL? Toss up here, but probably Barber right now.

I have to think that Julius Jones may be one injurry away from a permanent spot in PArcells dog house. If he misses any significant time this year (like every other year) he loses the starting spot to jones.

That's why he's the best answer, easiest path to a starting spot.

Fair enough. I meant more the second (maybe I should have said L. Jordan/C. Taylor/L.J.)

Rudi may be the better comparison, but good enough.

For some reason, the poll function doesn't seem to be working. I tried to make one for my Jax RB post.

The only one who you listed who may be the "next Jordan or C.Taylor" is Turner.

Barber will take over the Cowboys starting RB this season ;)

Jacobs and Norwood will take over their current teams in a few years.

Turner on the other hand will have to be traded or leave as a F.A. to get a starting job.

Of course, leaving as a FA is not out of the question for a team that really wants him. The chances could be just as high (or higher) as waiting for an injury to a respective starter to happen.

Interesting - I would have figured the aging Tiki and Jacobs' nose for the endzone would have garnered him more than 1 vote...

Glad to see Turner winning this & Jacobs not getting much interest. Mark my words that the only way Jacobs will ever be the full-time starter is if Tiki gets hurt this year. The same issue was brought up at Southern Illinois & they felt Brandon was at his best when used is smaller doses as a change of style back. Durability was the key issue.

Expect the Giants to explore a RB in FA or draft next offseason whether Tiki retires or not.
