M. Williams: Not worried about being compared... (1 Viewer)

That article is from June 2006.

Still, he shouldn't be worried about Reggie. Mario is clearly the better player and worthy of the #1 pick

:goodposting: Mario looks like he could be a truly dominant force on D. Reggie looks like a mediocre RB with great hands. One of these guys is more likely to be seen in a commercial. The other is more likely to make Canton. Last I checked commercials don't win championships...

I think it's safe to say that just about all of was wrong when we were knocking the Texans for taking Mario Williams. He's clearly the better NFL player than Reggie Bush. What a gutsy move.

Don't you think its a little early in both careers to pass judgement on who is better? Much like Mario started slowly who is to say he does not regress? Who is to say Reggie does not reach his potential? Like I said in another thread the census seems to sway for or against whoever is playing better at the time.

They do sell tickets.
So, Reggie is a side show that people come to see while Mario is the main event...

It's too early in their careers to say "clearly" but at least Mario is showing that maybe, just maybe, he actually jusified his selection as the #1 pick. It would be nice to see the many, many people who railed on the Texans pick have to eat some crow.
