Macklemore Tour - OK for a 12 Yr. Old Boy? (1 Viewer)

My son and his friends want to go, and I'm willing to chaperone. Live music has always been a huge part of my life and there's probably a very short window in which I can share the experience with him before he drops me. We've been to a few festivals and seen some bands I like, but nothing that he's really into. He is, unfortunately, hugely into this guy.  I'm not worried about language, more about what kind of crowd this guy will draw.  Can I expect mostly trashy posers, or will it perhaps get rowdy?

When I was 12, my dad took me to a Willie Nelson show. We sat right up front. The hole in his Martin where the pick guard should be was smaller back then. EmmyLou had long brown hair. I'll never forget it.

Only read the title.  I'mma have to go with "No, it's probably not a good idea to allow your 12 year old to go on tour with Macklemore."

I saw him a few years ago....it's probably the best rap show for a 12-year old to attend.  I would not expect an ultra-rowdy crowd.  It's not like you're going to an ASAP Rocky show.

Really just talking out of my backside here ... but isn't Macklemore's fan base more 20-something hipsters than anything else? Hard to imagine much in the way of rowdiness at all.

I would think should be fine, I would bet against it getting rowdy.  I'm bringing my 11 and 12yo boys to Flo Rida next month, not sure what that will be like (I know its a smaller outside venue anyways)

A crowd of 20-something hipsters would be perfect. I could sit at the bar and let the boys run wild.

Guess it's not cool to like macklemore but i think the dude is tight and has good music. Should be a fun show and more so your kid will love it.
