My favorite aspect of the series is how it shows the culture contrast in the early 60s vs. today. Probably why I like the early seasons more.Ok, best scenes...
2. After Don buys the Caddy, the Draper family goes for a picnic. When it's time to leave, they dump their garbage on the ground at the park before putting the everything back in the car. That always cracked me up.
Might have been Raquel Welch. Was that really Elizabeth Moss roller skating? The camera was far enough away that I could not tell for sure. And googling gave me nothing
Might be the funniest line of the series. Roger probably has the top 50 of them himself. One of my favorite scenes:

Punctuated by an all-timer line by Roger ("right when he got it in the door").
You think they would need a stunt double to roller skate at 2 mph?Was that really Elizabeth Moss roller skating? The camera was far enough away that I could not tell for sure. And googling gave me nothing
In an episode of Scrubs, all the main characters were supposed to be on skates going through the lobby. Sarah Chalke was the only one who could skate out of the 6 in the screen. They were standing on skate boards and a crew member was pushing them along off screen. You think they would need a stunt double to roller skate at 2 mph?Was that really Elizabeth Moss roller skating? that was a total wtf.One of my favorite scenes:

Favorite scene was after the young guy from England gets his foot run over by the lawn mower and Roger says, "and he just got it in the door". And all the guys.

I've been going through and watching old clips lately. This is one of the better onesReally great scene that laid so much foundation for the rest of the series.
Though at the time Campbell was gone.

Ok, best scenes...
Two that come to mind:
1. Layne fights Pete and Roger says something to the effect of "I know I should stop this but I really want to see what happens!" I love Roger.
2. After Don buys the Caddy, the Draper family goes for a picnic. When it's time to leave, they dump their garbage on the ground at the park before putting the everything back in the car. That always cracked me up.
to both of these...especially the garbage one"I know cooler heads should prevail, but am I the only one who wants to see this?"Dan Lambskin said:bigmarc27 said:Ok, best scenes...

LolI said earlier I think it would be great if the finale ended with Sally learning how to parallel park.Other than that, I hope Weiner stays as far away from what Chase did as possible.I hope there's some definitive closure. That's really all I care about - you invest in characters and sure they go on past the show, but there should be some indication that the snippet of their lives we've seen during the show has resolution good or bad.
It's becoming very apparent to me that Weiner is a true disciple of David Chase, though. If you can't decide a characters fate, leave it open-ended and let everyone make up their own minds.
I'm hoping for more Gilligan than Chase in this show's finale.LolI said earlier I think it would be great if the finale ended with Sally learning how to parallel park.Other than that, I hope Weiner stays as far away from what Chase did as possible.I hope there's some definitive closure. So Don never gets off the McCann island?I'm hoping for more Gilligan than Chase in this show's finale.
I don't know why he'd go back to McCann. He's seen the future and it renders him relatively useless and creatively powerless, certainly not as vital as he once was. So why go back or why try for another agency or even that life? I could see him turning in the Draper identity completely in favor of starting over (again) or as someone else mentioned going back to being **** Whitman and bringing himself full circle. Maybe the whole point of this is that he was never truly meant to be Don Draper and should always be **** Whitman. So Don never gets off the McCann island?I'm hoping for more Gilligan than Chase in this show's finale.

It was actually just a Gilligan's Island joke, but I agree with your premise otherwise.I don't know why he'd go back to McCann. Mentioned above. Roger made a comment at the beginning of previous episode alluding to the fact that Cutler cashed out and doesn't have to deal with McCann anymore ("I hate that guy").What happened to Jim Cutler? Did he just take the money from the merge and retire? He hasn't been around all season so I assume that is what he did. He would have fit in well at McCann.
That'd be a neat trick.Don is probably driving to California to meet up with Anna or something. I think they will somehow address the #### Whitman piece at the end and him going to California allows them to do that.

My guess would be Stephanie.
I thought he saw Adam's ghost too.How many ghosts has Don seen? Anna. Bert. Anyone else? Maybe he'll see them all at the end and nod knowingly like Luke did at the end of Return of the Jedi.
They keep showing Lane's New York Mets pennant, including in Don's new office. But I don't see a direct connection there, just another instance of Don haunted by his past. How many ghosts has Don seen? Anna. Bert. Anyone else? Maybe he'll see them all at the end and nod knowingly like Luke did at the end of Return of the Jedi.
Or he pulls up to an apartment in Malibu...Opens the door and there is Sal...Fade to blackCar crash on the highway, he joins Anna. fade to black
That would have been great if one of the guys in Diana's old apartment was Sal.Or he pulls up to an apartment in Malibu...Opens the door and there is Sal...Fade to blackCar crash on the highway, he joins Anna. fade to black
