At Gamestop they have a picture of an outline of a WR on the box. Last year this time they had the outline of a QB and it ended up being VY. Hmmm.

Is there some kind of rule that it has to be an active player, or can it be a retired player, Madden paying tribute to Brett Favre by having him on the cover.
That would be one way to break the jinx.
Not for the guys who drafted him in the Winter Survivor Leagues. :lmao:

Larry Fitz? Though I cant say the outline "looks like" him?Wayne? Dont think there is enough star power.

The outline does look a little wes welkerish....
Does the face mask give any clues?
The face mask is deceiving...First I thought it might be a tight end but the arms are probably too small for that. Could be a number of wide receivers that all have that extra bar on the sides (by their eyes). This pic is from the other angle and his head would need to b ea bit more to the side for the face mask to line up, but what about Devin Hester?

Brady will break the curse by making the cover and throwing 41 TDs.

Some would say that is a significant decline and "curse-worthy", but you cant argue with 40+ TDs.

Interesting that you said Hester. I was looking at Google images yesterday to see if I could find a Hester pic to match the silhouette. I didn't find a match, but to me it looks a lot like him.

We'll find out on Friday. That looks exactly like Moss to me, just before he reaches full gear.

Put Chad Johnson's ### on there, if he sits out then he can trip over his dog and break his wrist with no worries.

I thought the same as a few others that it is Moss and also my first thought that came to mind when I saw the title and clicked on it is what alot of others said......Please don't let it be AD

Good StuffNot sure if the silhouette is really Favre or not but after hearing it's Favre and looking at the cutout it reminds me of him running towards a teammate to celebrate with.

Maybe Madden knows something we don't... (coming back?) haha...

I'm guessing Patrick Willis. That looks like a linebacker's facemask and padding. He's had decent visibility as a Pro Bowler and the defensive ROY.

Wow, the Madden Curse sure has strengthened. Used to be the guy just had a poor year. Now when it hits, the guy doesn't even play a single game that year.

The selection of Favre for the cover is brilliant. Clearly, this guy is Madden's favorite player of all time and EA sports can possibly kill the perception of a jinx.

If I were Favre I wouldn't go hunting this year. Retired or not you've got to respect the curse.
