Malaysian plane shot down in Ukraine. (1 Viewer)

This reminds me of the World Cup - when a player goes in and fouls another, and then rolls around on the ground like he was the aggrieved party who was injured on the play - hoping the ref will feel sorry for him and won't punish him.

I could be mistaken, but weren't tons of airliners flying through that corridor within an hour of MH17? From what I've read it was fairly common to use for flight paths. Color me not impressed that Putin's plane was in the area within an hour.

Ukraine was tapping some phones, got Russian dudes talking about plane going down to peckerheads back home.

:own3d:
That seems like an invasion of privacy.
They have 4th Amendment Rights, dammit!!!
In Russia, phone taps you.
I guess this is the evidence Ukraine said they were going to show.

Follow up to this, screencap of flights diverting around Ukraine airspace. Presumably without the incident a lot of those would be flying in roughly the same path as MH17 and Putin's plane. RT is stretching here.

Ukrainian Intel: Putin will be flying thru in the next hour, get ready'.

'FIRE!!!'......... 'Got him'.....'you say it was a Malaysia passenger jet?'....... 'We didn't do it, it was Russian rebels'.

This is why it'll never catch on in the US.

I think it's a reach that Putin was in fact the target. But if he, or his administration, knew their forces were going to be firing at a plane, I think they would have altered his flights path away from the area.

EVERYTIME there is a crisis, some people just have to look for the conspiracy. Every ####### time.

IMO, there's a 99% chance that this was a ####up by the Ukraine rebels. That's how it appears, and that's how it probably is. I know that mistakes aren't nearly as interesting as deliberate actions, but usually mistakes are the main reason #### goes down- whether it's a plane crash, or how our government reports an embassy attack, or the IRS obtaining files they shouldn't have, or whatever. People screw up.

That being said, the fact that the Ukraine rebels have surface to air missiles and are firing them at all is disconcerting, and will inevitablity lead to even more trouble.

This is just what the people who did this want us to believe. :tinfoilhat:

Well we are definitely not going to hear either side say, 'oops, my bad'.

They didn't seem to mind letting Martin Bashir spout off about wanting to #### in Sarah Palin's mouth and let him continue on so why not here.

Looks pretty certain that Russian rebels pulled the trigger and fired the weapon.

I sincerly doubt however that they are looking up from the ground at planes in the sky as their method of determining who to fire at.

All BUKs are supplied to the Russian rebels from Moscow. And with them comes the training and intel to use them.

Last month however the rebels seized a BUK on their own. So there is one being used without the training and intel all the others come with from Moscow.

It's highly likely this is the one that was used today. Which raises the question, who was telling them what to shoot at? It wouldn't be Moscow, unless it was a BUK Moscow supplied.

The Ukraine rebels? I'm confused. Over the last few days, it's been the pro-Russian seperatists that have shot down at least one Ukranian fighter jet (another was shot down by a Russian plane from inside Russian aairspace) and a Ukranian military transport aircraft.

There hasn't been any mention of the Ukranian rebels using any type of anti-aircraft weapons, and if so, they weren't successful.

Wouldn't it be more likely that the pro-Russian seperatists mistaked the passenger jet for another Ukranian military aircraft and shot it down?

does that particular weapon system have the ability to read an IFF signal?

Yes. The question is, assuming this isn't some rogue group with in the Pro-Russian Seperatists, was the seized BUK being used by someone trained how to get that intel, and if so, who trained them? This of course assumes it was the seized BUK used today.

And if this isn't some rogue group, WTF did they have to seize a BUK? Moscow is giving BUKs to them like candy.
