Manning Injury (1 Viewer)

Last think I read on Manning was that he might miss the first game of the season. I'm hearing talk now of 4 weeks. Anyone have an inside track on his neck or potential time missed?

Everything I've heard basically breaks down as this. It is a neck injury. Thus when he's ready to play he will be at 100%. But we simply do not know when that will be. Peyton doesn't know. His doctors don't know. The team doesn't know.

He's a great pickup in redrafts because it seems the prevailing opinion is that he will in fact play in the early part of the season and once he does he will be "business as usual." But his value is slipping because of the unknown.

The chance of this lingering into October seem minute. However not entirely impossible.

Picking up Manning in the 5th and bring in someone like Stafford or Bradford to start the season for you sounds like a wonderful idea. Not sure he falls that far though depending on your draft.

Yeah I really like the idea of waiting for Manning to fall to late 4th, early 5th and snagging him there. He's a tough tough guy and will want to be out there helping his team asap.

Target Bradford, Eli, Stafford, etc. as a late pick to start the season and then reap the benefits when Peyton is back on the field as a top QB.
