I have Bulger and Plummer and neither have done much up to this point in the season. You'd think Bulger would put up numbers against SF but he has not looked very good up to this point. Opinions?

I am seriously, seriously considering starting Kitna (vs. GB at home) over Bulger next week, even if they are playing against Arizona, and my opponent will have Holt. That tells you all you need to know. I may be dead wrong, but I just don't like the way that offense is having trouble keeping drives alive, getting receivers open, and stalling in the red zone. Lots of sacks/fumbles too. I may be wrong, but I think GB will look like the little sisters of the poor next week after facing the Bear D today. See huge game for Kitna..

I have the same QB's and things aren't looking to good.I'll give them one more week, and if it wasn't for the fact that I don't want to drop any of my bench players I would have grabbed Pennington last week, or grab Grossman this week.

A few problems with Bulger. The protection is terrible and Pace was injured today. The injuries and constant whacks he has taken the past 3 years are starting to show. The last several games, he's throwing off his back foot A LOT and his accuracy is suffering. Rams passing game doesnt appear to be taking advantage of their receivers as they did under Martz. No more of this running in open space and catching the ball on the move. I dont like it one little bit, I dont.

I have him too- thought I had a mid round steal, but feeling dumb. But I have not seen the games- any more info on how his games have progressed would be helpful. Is the Rams defense good enough for continued conservative play calling? Seems by the box score they could have attacked more w/ Holt and Curtis.

Good insight- If there are any rumors of a change in philosophy, let us know. I thought Linahan would be good for Bulger.

Talking about the scheme and the play calling is one thing, and probably valid, but there's also clearly a problem with execution. 19 for 34 today? Does anything think this could just be Bulger adjusting to his new system?

Seems like the only passes he's completing (besides those horrid 2 yard routes) are deep sideline patterns requirng perfect timing and passes. Nothing looks easy. I'm with Mojo on this one..

I watched a decent chunk of that game today, and I think there is an adjustment period going on for Bulger... and the broadcasters even mentioned it a bit... shorter drops and quicker passes, use of the TE more, and the power running game. These are things the STL hasn't done in a while. So yeah, I think this has factored into his less than stellar production thus far. The poor o-line play is obviously huge too.

He's seeing a lot of heat - 6 sacks today. A lot of those incompletions were attempts to beat the defense deep and it didnt happen, but he looks extremely uncomfortable in the pocket. Other than a few long throws, I havent seen him step into a throw in months. The punishment may have given him the happy feet. Rather than set and throw, its shuffle dance shuffle dance, step backward and try to hit the WR as he comes open. Remember those routes the Rams were famous for? The slants, the drags across the middle, the outs where the ball was in the air before the WR made their break? They dont seem to be there as often. To keep him from getting killed, and having perfect receivers for it, I'd like to see more 3-step drops to get the ball out of there. Funny thing but I'm hearing Bruce a lot more than I am Holt.
