The Jets have been taking advantage of thier college qb turned wr, brad smith, by using him in a series of trick plays. How do you think the dolphins will use Marcus Vick?
they won't. He's far down on the depth chart. A gimmick play could prove me wrong but all in all I don't think they'll use him. If he plays, I could also see his speed being used as a gunner but then again I'm not sure he can tackle. Gotta be a use for him on ST though.
I think Welker is one of the better KR guys in the league - he's been dependable, and is a good open field runner. My guess (based on nothing other than gut feel) is that Welker is pegged to take a more permanant role in the offense, and they take Welker out of KR dutues.
I can't see him being used more than Cliff Russell, the guy he's replacing on the roster, and maybe working in the return game to lighten the load on Welker.

I think they'll keep Welker on KR - he is way too good at it.
Vick would work better on PR. I also think he'll get a few plays, and will be worked in like Slash/Randle-El were worked into the Steelers' game.
If Welker can't go this weekend, Harrington is in serious trouble, and they will need Vick out there catching balls. He will also run back the kicks - I know they've been working with him on both KR and PR all summer.
In the future, he will be limited to the slash role - Booker is back son and a healthy Welker is what the team needs to run back kicks and punts.
On another note, does Welker remind anyone else of Kevin Curtis?
