Marion Barber (1 Viewer)

ESPN Dallas' Calvin Watkins is the latest beat writer to suggest the Cowboys will part ways with Marion Barber later this offseason.

Watkins believes Dallas' "silly" three-back rotation is a thing of past because Barber has failed to live up to his $12 million signing bonus in 2008. "He hasn't earned a penny," writes Watkins. "Not one." With only a brittle Felix Jones in the way of 20+ touches per week, Tashard Choice is a recommended speculative "buy" in Dynasty leagues this offseason.

Does this just scream New England pick up to anyone else. Perfect compliment to BJG.

The same "brittle" Felix that has missed all of 2 games in the last two years and played in every game last year?

The same brittle Felix with a torn hamstring and season-ending toe injury in 2008 in addition to the PCL sprain in 2009. Also the same brittle Felix who has struggled to return quickly from nagging injuries and doesn't usually fare well while trying to play through them.

Exactly. Over a 10 year career, Lav Coles missed only 5 games (3 during his rookie year), but the guy was always hurt. ALWAYS...At some point, you have to look beyond games played and accept that some guys have constant nagging injuries that are not drastic enough or them to miss time, but effect their play on the field each week.

I could see him ending up in Miami, since he knows the entire staff from Dallas but I dont see him ever being a feature back again. The guy is pretty much done. He ran with such power and authority but when the injuries started happening, he started to pull back and not play the same way. Without that power he is slow and not very useful. He also doesnt play any type of special teams so I cant see him making much of an impact anywhere.
