Mark Clayton - Injury info from Homers? (1 Viewer)

I just can't find good information about Mark Clayton's injury (or is it injuries?) and how long he is expected to be hobbled. What's his injury and how long until he's back at full speed (not just suiting up)? I need to decide whether to fish or cut bait with him this week and I can't find good information.

Thanks in advance for information.

Anyway, the yahoo story above is basically the same stuff we've heard each week. Clayton is riding the bench for me until he actually catches more than one pass.

FWIW

Jamison Hensley, of the Baltimore Sun, reports Baltimore Ravens WR Mark Clayton (toe) is expected to return to the starting lineup Week 3.

I really hope that he come back strong. I had high hopes for him this year, picking Clayton and Edwards as the 3rd year receivers who were going to have breakout years. He is a great guy to have as my #4 receiver behind Evans, Burress, and Edwards.

Baltimore homer here. I have always read that an ankle injury sustained late in the preseason is keeping him out. With McNair returning to the starting line-up I wouldn't look for too much from Clayton. When and if Boller takes over and Clayton returns from the ankle injury pull him off your bench for bye weeks only. Williams (Ravens want the big-guy on the field) and Mason (same size as Clayton) will remain the primary WRs until Clayton works his way back. If Boller takes the reigns later in the year, look for Heap as option one and a healthy Clayton option two in the passing game. If Williams can do a better job holding on to the ball/making the tough catch, the two redzone targets will be Williams and Heap. Williams needs to start catching the tough pass, however.

I traded him for a 2008 2nd round rookie draft pick (which is basically nothing in my league). I think it will be long before he's useful, and even then he's a WR3. Too bad, because I too thought he'd be a WR2 this year. Now, I just want his roster spot to grab a different player.

For all we know... he can out produce some of the #1's for the rest of the year. Also... he is very young. Didn't you consider next year, or the rest of his career when making that decision?

Ouch. Talk about selling low.

Im going to laugh when he scores a td and gains close to 100 yards this week.

I am starting him over Cotchery and G Jennings in one of my leagues. Mark Clayton is the real deal.
