@Saints: Pierre Thomas, Curtis Lofton & Keenan Lewis are probable for Monday. Injury Report: http://t.co/rXor357K1n #BALvsNO http://t.co/m7FYVkqw8i
Looked more like stout run D to me. No crease or push by the O-line whatsoeverthose were horrid runs. pathetic jump attempt.
Not much. Needed to sell high on him.how confident are we feeling about ingram against the steelers next week?
Feel OK but not great. Seemed like the O-line played poorly tonight.how confident are we feeling about ingram against the steelers next week?
Steelers run D is not great, so I think he will be fine.Feel OK but not great. Seemed like the O-line played poorly tonight.how confident are we feeling about ingram against the steelers next week?
@PFF_NateJahnke: Saints final RB snap count: Pierre Thomas 39, Mark Ingram 26, Travaris Cadet 9. Thomas/Ingram closer before the last 3 minutesChaka said:Bad game but he still commanded the majority of RB carries 11-5 over PT and managed 2 catches on top of that. He got several opportunities inside the 5 and just failed to convert. Could have been a 2 TD night but the fact that it wasn't is on him (particularly on that reception) NO couldn't establish anything on the ground and were playing from behind a lot so Evil Payton took over abandoned the run game a little early.
Still like him ROS and will start him with confidence.
The problem is when PT is in BAL simply teed off and blitzed Brees. I hate these one dimensional backs, there is no mystery to what the play is.Pierre comes back and he gets almost the same number of touches as Ingram. That's the major difference now- Ingram basically disappears when they fall behind.
Pierre isnt one dimensional, to be honest he looked more explosive than Ingram. The problem is when PT is in BAL simply teed off and blitzed Brees. As an Ingram owner it pains me to say it, but I'd agree. PT looked like the better RB last night. To be fair, it appeared to me that Ingram was getting blown up in the backfield a lot more than PT was, but that Oline in general looked very, very weak. Being a new Brees owner via trade, it kind of shocked me TBH.Pierre isnt one dimensional, to be honest he looked more explosive than Ingram. The problem is when PT is in BAL simply teed off and blitzed Brees. Ingram 11 for 27 and 2 catches for 15 yards.
Thomas 5 for 19 and 6 catches for 37 yards
With Carolina, Chicago and Atlanta on deck for Weeks 14-16???just_want_2_win said:Not much. Needed to sell high on him.steelerfan1 said:how confident are we feeling about ingram against the steelers next week?
The RBs aren't really one dimensional- the play calling is (although they seem to be incorporating Ingram into the passing game a little bit at least). The problem is when PT is in BAL simply teed off and blitzed Brees. Update?at any concern about Ingram losing touches because of PT.
Ingram has been averaging 30 touches per game since PT and Robinson went out. That kind of workload is obscene and will get him killed, he needs someone to come in and spell him. PT coming back is good news for Ingram
He'll be fine and continue to produce RB1 numbers with 20 touches per game. Personally I think he will be more effective with a reduced workload

They ran the ball the second fewest times they had all season and Ingram led in carries 11-5.Update?at any concern about Ingram losing touches because of PT.

I guess explosion is a relative term...as PT wasnt at all explosive in my book. More like efficiently slow.Pierre isnt one dimensional, to be honest he looked more explosive than Ingram. The problem is when PT is in BAL simply teed off and blitzed Brees. You know his point as all he said was "update" and you kind of look like it upset you with your comment. I think its funny after your comment that you claim not to know his point. They ran the ball the second fewest times they had all season and Ingram led in carries 11-5.Update?at any concern about Ingram losing touches because of PT.

You are free to interpret my response however you like but I never said PT wouldn't have an impact on Ingram. What I said is that Ingram will lose touches and that I think Ingram losing touches to PT is a good thing. I thought I was clear about that. What is not good is what happened to the Saints offense last night. You know his point as all he said was "update" and you kind of look like it upset you with your comment. The point is and you know this, Thomas has an impact on Ingram. Not a debate, its pretty much fact as Thomas got more snaps and has just two touches less then Ingram but had better results.
By my math, Thomas has an impact on Ingram.
yeah, for the thomas ownersYou are free to interpret my response however you like but I never said PT wouldn't have an impact on Ingram. The Ravens dominated the Saints line, Payton abandoned the run and both backs had poor games on limited touches. Ingram was going to have a bad game last night regardless of whether PT was in the game or not. And let's be fair about it Payton gave Ingram several opportunities to turn a bad night into a great fantasy night, Ingram just failed to capitalize (particularly on that reception, I fault the line just as much as Ingram for the failed goal line dive).
Correct- you said it would be a good thing for Ingram, and went so far as to laugh at people who thought otherwise. You are free to interpret my response however you like but I never said PT wouldn't have an impact on Ingram. he never seems angry when thomas is in the game -- maybe the guy's givin' him footrubs, or somethingIt's possible he's getting a bit worn down. Tough to maintain that level when you're taking a lot of punishment
I own Ingram- I'm certainly not piling on, just being realistic. Having other RBs take away touches from him is the opposite of a good thing.Yeesh, people are so quick to pile on a player after a bad game.
So few players in the NFL are completely matchup proof and no one put Ingram in that category.
What if he's the Colts starting RB?I wasn't expecting much against Baltimore. I'll still roll him out through the fantasy playoffs.
Long term: I will let someone else draft him next year because I can see others overpaying based on his 2014 performance. I'm happy with his production this year given how cheap he was draft day, but I haven't seen anything I would reach for next year.

His shoulder has been hurt since the Carolina game, I believe. He's had good games since, so i think you are wrong.Seems he hasn't been the same runner the past few weeks (since he hurt his shoulder). I think you have to look for better options and as he's going to be very TD dependent.
the same people who were panicking when he was playing lights out are the same ones still panicking now that P.T is back...go figureI don't think the Colts are gonna go anywhere near Ingram after the debacle of Richardson....I hope. I just don't see him as a big talent. Don't think he has great vision and isnt a threat to take it to the house ever. His career long is only 35 yds. He's a decent RB, but that's all I see. What if he's the Colts starting RB?I wasn't expecting much against Baltimore. I'll still roll him out through the fantasy playoffs.
