Will Marlin Jackson be a surprise IDP this year? Playing CB in a cover-two scheme has been pretty good on a guy's stats the last couple of years. I didn't get to see much of the American Bowl, did Marlin Jackson look good? I did see him lay the wood on a WR on play.
yeah, i would like to hear what others think about him as well. He looked pretty good in the American Bowl today. Do you think he could be more valuable then say a Kenoy Kennedy in fantasy?

only if you start 2 CB and 2 S, and not yet - probably in 2006. i would put his value the same as the other good cover 2 CBs - Jeremetrius Butler is a good comparison.
I think the secondary will make a lot of tackles this year for the Colts. Not a great thing for the D, but good for fantasy owners of Sanders, Joseph Jefferson/Doss (depending on who starts) and Marlin Jackson (I think he'll start by early in the season).
Two questions:Is Marlin Jackson the starter? Is Marlin Jackson healthy enough to play? Given the weak LB corps and the fact he's a rookie in a Cover 2 scheme no less, I fully expect him to get nice numbers as a DB this year. TIA.
Colts web site reports that he is injured, will not start this week.Colts rookie cornerback Marlin Jackson missed a second consecutive day of practice Thursday. Jackson, who was expected to play in the Colts' nickel package Sunday, is likely doubtful for the season opener at Baltimore, Colts Head Coach Tony Dungy said.
Cover 2 corner should perform better than most projections. I heard early on that he would return punts or kick offs too. I jumped all over him thinking I had another McGee. Doesn't look good for the returns. He will be starting corner when healthy, but rookie corners don't get the same kind of challenges in a cover 2.
