Maroney Gets In The Endzone This Weekend! (1 Viewer)

Right now, I think Maroney is a guy you start based on matchups. Despite the big score, the Chargers were not a good matchup. The Bills appear to be a better one. I expect them to try real hard to stop Moss, and I expect Maroney to be the beneficiary.

I read something on the blogger about Maroney working on his upright running style and trying to lean a little more. ie. I'll lean coach! I'll lean! Just let me get some red zone carries will ya?!

So far this guy has been a huge let down... I hope he does well this week, or he may have to hit my bench. As of now, I still have him as a must start every week.

We don't need anymore negativity in here, thanks.

Just positivity as we collectively push Laurence into the endzone (maybe a couple of times)

Everyone use the secret and visualize maroney Crossing the goaline a couple times this week.

I think Maroney will get better as the season progresses he missed a lot of time with that mysterious shoulder injury, so he could just be getting caught up with everything now...he may really catch his stride this week

I think its Sammy Morris. The Pats are gonna go up big early and the fragile Maroney is gonna sit for a good part of the game

Maroney will get the yards (100+) and Morris will get the TDs. Slammin Sammy Morris is the goal line back....NOT Maroeny!

The guy that thinks Maroney is finishing in the top 3........HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

He will be lucky to finish in the top 20.

Smooth, real smooth.

This is where Maroney begins his march to a to 3 rb finish. 120/2, 4/75/1.
Not sure about the #3 RB quote, but since I am going against him this week, I expect 100 yds and 2 TD's..... :hophead:

I'm starting Maroney tomorrow and I agree with those above who have suggested he'll have a good game this week.

That said, even Maroney knows he's in an RBBC:

Everybody thinks every running back should run alike, but that’s what makes us a running back by committee. There’s a lot of stuff Kevin (Faulk) can do, that I can’t. Just like there’s a lot of things Sammy can do, that I can’t, but it works that way for all of us. That’s why we work so good together. We all bring something different.
That quote is from a Boston Herald article.

"WRs Donte Stallworth (knee) and Kelley Washington (hamstring) are also questionable, so the receiving corps may be a bit short handed."

Does that add to Maroney's value this week? so far I still have him on the bench (J Lewis starting for him)

The more I look at the NE ground game, the more curious I get... Maroney owners: Did you draft or otherwise secure Morris via wire or trade? And for those that own Morris, has anyone been or intend on playing him?

Not a Maroney owner, but I am seriously considering giving Morris a go this week as a Flex against the Bills. The flex I have been using, Julius Jones, stinks and has the worst matchup imaginable. I could go with Isaac Bruce. But the TD upside and the ex-team revenge factor has me leaning toward Morris. At a minimum I think he will do better that the 10/50 he has put up the first two weeks. Throw in a TD and that would make a very solid flex. Still debating it though....

He had two close ones but, unfortunately, "close" doesn't put points on the board.... But keep in mind, before you bench him, that the opportunities were there and he just didn't capitalize. He will get his chances every game and he'll get a TD or two. It looks like the Pats are settled into this scheme where Maroney will get the majority of carries (18-20) and Morris getting about half that (10-12). Sadly, Morris has so far been the guy to get it into the end zone.

Pity bump.Let's start this over with a little more conviction from those of you on the fence.
SAM-MY!! SAM-MY!! SAM-MY!!Prediction this weekend:Maroney - 21 carries, 118 rushing yards, 0 TD'sSammy Morris - 16 carries, 72 yards, 1 TD
