Sorry if this has already been posted somewhere but searched here and the blogger and am getting nothing other than he is questionable.

Does anyone know what his knee injury is and any news on if will play? If not is Williams worth a shot since Heap is lkely not playing this week?

From what I have read, I am not expecting Mason to play. He is the Ravens' most targeted receiver (50) so his absence should help Demetrius and Clayton quite a bit. Mason is the most targeted player through four games, trailing only Housh

I might be starting Kennison.....

(Rotoworld) Derrick Mason (knee) missed all of Ravens practice for the second consecutive day Friday, and is listed as questionable for Week 5.Impact: Mason was previously dealing with a back problem and his now has a balky knee. The veteran was off to a hot start to the year and has a good matchup against San Francisco Sunday afternoon, but it's time to lo... (More)

The odd part about this was that he practiced on Wednesday, but was out on Thursday and Friday. Something smells like the injury is worse than it is. Mason could play, but ......

I saw this on MFL. It starts that he practiced on Tuesday, then partially with no risk of missing time, then no practice either Thursday or Friday. Do we know if it is long term, what the injury is? Anything?

Maybe this can finally be Mark Clayton's breakout game against the 49ers. He showed some signs of life against the Browns last week. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part.

This is a really intriguing play for me, too, with injuries and bye weeks really leaving me VERY thin at my flex spot this week. If Mason doesn't go, does Clayton slip into the X spot, or does Williams? I would think Clayton, as that was his spot before he was injured -- still and all, I think who has the best day may simply come down to who is the least injured on this squad.

According to USA Today, "I know I’m going to be able to play," Mason said. "I just wanted to rest it a little bit." It looks like Mason will start against San Francisco.
