I’m looking for fantasy football players who are tired of the same experience, filled with mediocrity and an overly simplistic view of on-field performance. I’ve developed a scoring system that values players more fairly for their contributions, both positive and negative. Using data from the last 5 seasons, I’ve mathematically modeled the poor, average, and elite performers, and built the scoring system accordingly. I’ve also modified the roster and scoring formats to reflect how NFL teams truly value players.
The snake draft is scheduled for Thursday, September 3rd, at 7:00 PM.

Some additional highlights:
*NO PLAYOFFS! The season will run all 17 weeks, and the champion will be crowned after the final week to the person with the most “total points for”. I believe this to be truer reflection of a manager’s ability, certainly much more than weekly head-to-head competition. To help keep everyone up to date besides checking the standings where points are displayed, I will send out weekly e-mail updates with the week’s scores and running totals.
*Free agent auction – I think this is a more equitable system than the waiver claim. There will be no minimum bid, so you don’t have to spend money ($100 budget for the season) on each claim, but you may wish to spend something to help secure a player’s rights.
*Rosters – A bit of a tweak to both the positions and the maximums allowed. Hopefully this keeps people from hoarding talent and forces managers to observe bye weeks more closely. The rosters will be QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, WR/TE, 3 FLEX, DEF, 5 Bench, 2 IR. The maximums will be 2 QB, 6 RB, 7 WR, 3 DEF.
*Special teams points – I have added a few extra scoring categories for individual kickoff and punt return yardage and TDs to help give additional value to those players that are asked to perform those duties.
*Defensive TD scoring adjustments – I will adjust the scoring for defensive points allowed to remove a TD/PAT when the opposing defense scores. For example, let’s say a manager has the Denver Broncos’ defense and the team allows 14 points during a game, but Peyton Manning threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown. I will manually edit the scoring to say that the Broncos’ defense allowed only 7 points.
