Matt Forte vs Pitt (1 Viewer)

I'll start:

In PPR, Portis and Rice

The fact that he had zero catches really concerns me. I imagine they will try to correct that and get Forte involved early, but Pitt is as stifling a RB D as it gets, so I don't see much upside in playing him over decent alternatives.

Who else is benching this top 5 pick this week, and for who?

Considering benching him for Michael Bush
LOL, I was just about to say this....but as a joke. I'm afraid not many teams will have depth good enough to bench their best player in week 2. PIT does look very tough, for sure, but Forte is still a safer gamble (as practically a 1-man-offense) than the options on 95% of the fantasy teams he's on. JMO.

I don't know if I have those kinds of cojones. Funny how you literally throw draft positions completely out the window right after the draft.

At least Forte will get some nice matchups in the coming weeks. Next 6:

Seahawks

Lions

Falcons

Bengals

Browns

Cardinals

49ers

My choice to put M. Bush in over Forte is more an indication of how I feel about the Pitt D moreso than Forte's ability.

It is also early ... and I have been known to flip at the last minute.

If this were last years Bears I would agree however with Cutler as QB I see the Bears not forcing the running game and going to the air much more.

I'm considering starting Cadillac Williams or Michael Bush over him. Like another said, it's not that I don't like Forte, it's just that he has a really hard match-up. The league is .5 PPR, 1 point per 20 yards rushing/receiving (fractional scoring though), and 6 points per touchdown so the scoring system weighs touchdowns heavily and only 7 were scored against Pittsburgh last season.

I was benching him for Welker...doh. He's back in and starting, but I expect very little. Best hope is that he gets lots of 1 yard passes.
