Matt Hasselbeck (1 Viewer)

It truly seems to me that Shaun Alexander has lost a step. He is a solid RB, but wont be putting up many more huge games. Losing Stong wont help any either. Hasselbeck is a solid QB, and in a few weeks will have more weapons than he will know what to do with. Branch and Hackett should be back full go in a few weeks. Engram, Burleson and obomanu are all solid WRs.

Upcoming games include STL x2 (10*), Clev (29 ), SF (16), ARI (17), Chi (23), Phi (9), Car (21)

(#) = ranked pass yards defense. STL isnt that good, just no need to pass on a team when your crushing them.

Only bad thing is that Sea plays Baltimore week 16. However it is a home game FWIW.

For the past few seasons the Seahawks won because of a strong running game and very solid D uint. The running game isnt what it once was and The D side of the ball has been less than stellar this season.

I forsee some tighter games with a good deal of passing late. Alexander isnt the lock to get the ball inside the 10 as he once was. I think Hasselbeck will be a good to great play for the rest of the season.

I have not watched a lot of Seattle games this season, So I am hoping to get some more opinions on this. 1. is Alexander really as bad as his numbers are showing? 2. Does Hasselbeck have the ability to carry a team if needed? 3. Do the Hawks still have a top 10 D unit, or are the best days behind them?

Thoughts / Opinions ?

Totally agree. Almost made the same post myself. The run game is totally falling apart. Using Weaver should help Hasselbeck to pick up extra yards on screens and dump offs that he wouldn't get with Alexander because Alexander is a bad receiver. And the schedule is great.

I like your reasoning. My league only penalizes -1 per int and 6 pt TDs.

May have to scout out the owner's roster. Thanks.

he's been a first half stud IMO, form where I drafted him Im very happy.

Balt isnt the same vs. the pass as they have been either.

Would you guys rate Hasselbeck higher than Schuab from here on out?
For sure!I'm in the middle of some LJ negotiations right now and the owner wants Romo, and I'm going to try and have him throw in Hasselbeck, because I think that he could be a great QBBC (with McNabb) for the rest of the season.

Favorable schedule + soft defense + deep wr corp. I like him better than some of the quarterbacks listed above him in the top 250 for sure.

I'm going with Hasselbeck as my #1 the rest of the way, and I feel pretty comfortable doing so. As noted above, the schedule is favorable and the run game is sputtering. That being said, Mike Holmgren no doubt will frustrate owners to no end.
