not good...Good news is he's taller than Sproles, bad news is he's shorter than Ryan Moats.
I said he would be under 5-7 a few months ago. Now he's going to run a slower 40 than most expect. My guess... 4.47.not good...Good news is he's taller than Sproles, bad news is he's shorter than Ryan Moats.![]()
Nope, Sproles was the better college back, but they both have a future in the league. Hopefully he finds himself in a good situation.Drew has interested me, somewhat. Tremendous playmaker who can do it all, but is he no better than Darren Sproles?
makes you wonder what Drew weighed at 5 ft 6Also, news of note..
Lightest: Reggie Bush, USC, 201 pounds; Brian Calhoun, Wisconsin, 201 pounds; Jerome Harrison, Washington St., 201 pounds
Not sure I agree there. Very close.Nope, Sproles was the better college back...Drew has interested me, somewhat. Tremendous playmaker who can do it all, but is he no better than Darren Sproles?
White looks like the seconnd coming of Jim BrownI think Lendale White is going to come out of this looking like a top 10, maybe top 5 pick. His stock will shoot up like Ronnie Brown's did last year. I'm guessing his height, weight, speed and skills will be impressive.
The thing that really cemented Ronnie as the top back was his speed. People thought he was fast but no way did they think a back that big could run like he did.LenDale has the makings of a great pro [good vision, makes yards after contact, proven goalline option], but there's no way he has the 40-speed to get compared to Ronnie. LenDale is a load, but he's got a gut too. Different kind of back entirely.I think Lendale White is going to come out of this looking like a top 10, maybe top 5 pick. The difference here is that Darren Sproles is 181lbs and Warrick Dunn is 180lbs....Drew is 207lbs which is right in line with many feature NFL backs.I guess I don't understand why a RB's height as anything to do with success....if nothing else, it's helpful to have a lower center of gravity as most bigger backs strive to get their pad level down that low to the ground in the first place. This is a classic case of a guy with loads of talent, but too small for the NFL. No way he's more than a great return guy.

The problem with most backs being that short is that it correlates directly to their weight being lower.....for Drew that's not the case at all.
I read 5-6 3/4 and 207. That's rock solid and if he runs a good 40 he'll make a very good 3rd down back, maybe even a starter. He doesn't seem to have the moves for a feature back, but he would be good for a team to have.5-6, 5-6 and a half, 207
Doesn't have the moves?I really don't want to get into a debate here about "moves", but whenever anyone describes Drew's game they refer to him as a "poor man's Reggie Bush". They describe him as "electrifying".I read 5-6 3/4 and 207. That's rock solid and if he runs a good 40 he'll make a very good 3rd down back, maybe even a starter.
