Seems to me they caught the Colts by surprise and most of Drew's production came out of shotgun draws in passing situations. I would think against the Skins the Jags will have a lead and not fear the Skins offense. On grass especially I would think this game is made for Taylor although Drew is still going to get his passing situation touches this might have been his biggest game of the year unless Taylor goes down.
That would be a mistake, since Portis is now healthy.I'm not sure who I'm taking in this game, because I like both teams to go deep into the playoffs, and both teams are practically mirrors of each other IMO.
That said, to answer the question, Drew will split time and eventually unseat Taylor. Whether that happens this year or beginning of next year remains to be seen, but it's pretty evident now to everyone (and not just the few of us sharks who have had him stashed away since draft day) that he is far too talented to keep behind Fragile Fred.
I would not start him this week, but definitely be ready to toss him in soon, because he's going to help anchor an offensive unit that takes JAX to the AFC Championship game.
Add: I would rather have Lewis or Ahman Green this week. Neither get the credit they deserve, and don't be too overcompensating for the hot new fad to overlook the quiet but dependables.
All of those guys who took Reggie Bush in the first and 2nd rounds on draft day are feeling what you will be feeling should you follow a similar path with Drew. He'll be great, and possibly this year, but don't jump the gun too soon.
Drew is probable this week.
