Maurice Morris (1 Viewer)

I think many people might start morris this week due to all the bye week issues. What do you see his numbers to be and how many carries do you think he will get?

I believe that Morris is a very very very risky pick. I would start Jerious Norwood or Michael Turner over him this week, but if he is the only option you have, he'll get you 60 yards.

There is NO risk @ all starting Morris....This guy has a perfect oppurtunity to prove what he has against a weak run D and he will not disappoint.....He'll easily have more than 100 yrds with 1 TD(probably 2) If you have Morris get ready for impressive #'s

I can understand Turner but where is this love for Norwood coming from? He is averaging 6.5 carries a game. I think I'll take a starter over that everyday.

Maurice Morris is an extremely risky play....Yes, the Rams are about 20th in rush defense, but seriously Morris is barely over 3 yards a carry 33/101...I would not be resting easy sticking him in my line-up against anybody.

Think Healthy Westbrook type numbers.
In 62 career games, Morris has had 3 receptions in a game once and 2 receptions in a game twice. Not sure where the Westbrook comparison is coming from. He's averaged one catch every three games over his career. Even when he had games with a bigger workload he didn't catch more than one pass.

It really bothers me when folks quote meaningless stats. Do you know when the majority of those carries occurred? Game situation and such? Please refer to the second half of the game against the Giants. TIA.Further, someone mentioned receptions. I would't bank on those catches. Yes, he's smaller and quicker than Alexander, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's a better at catching balls out of the backfield. Also, they're not going to rewrite the playbook for Morris. He's likely to start this one game.I expect him to post decent rushing statistics with a good chance of scoring.

OK, I will ignore what the player has done in the game and half where he has been the primary runner. (I know a wild 2nd half and Chicago). I will also ignore the fact that Seattle's OL has not done a quality job blocking even when S. alexander started. Is Morris the worst start of the week? No, but the only thing interesting about his start is that he is likely to get 20 or so touches. That does have value, but is far from getting me excited or not having a great concern for his ability to do something with those touches.
