Max # of teammates you want on your team (1 Viewer)

What is your policy of drafting players from the same team onto your team? Do you have a specific # of players/positions that you won't draft?

For example, the most I will draft from the same team is a QB/WR combo (only if it's a top QB and top WR), or the handcuff for a RB.

My policy is to draft the best player available in every round. The team they play for doesn't even come into play. If I ended up with 5 starters from Philly, so be it. Sure, I'd need some luck week 7(bye), but I'd have my team at full strength every other week.

QB--Vick

RB--McCoy

WR--D. Jackson

WR. Maclin

TE--Celek

I don't like having too many of my key players on the same team, unless they're big rosters.

A team in my league actually looks sort of like that team you just listed. He has Vick, McCoy, Maclin and Celek...

It doesn't matter.

In fact, using the Philly example, I'd far rather take the chance of one down week for the production I'll get in all other weeks. Team should play no part in your decision except for as you account for it in projecting your players.

In fact, I'll take it a step further in saying that people put FAR too much stock into drafting around bye weeks. Draft the best players based around all other metrics. The bye weeks will take care of themselves.

Whether players are on the same team should only become a factor (and even then, a relatively minor one) if you're in a league or contest with a relatively funky format. For example, in something like the NFFC, with loads of competitors and a top heavy payout structure, you should very slightly prefer players with correlated performance, like a QB+WR from the same team. Other than that, the only time team should be a factor is for handcuffs, so that you ensure that your backups become valuable at the exact time you need them...when the starter gets hurt.

Three, exception being rb handcuffs and never counting the QB.

Never more than 1 from the same position. Falcons Giants Eagles are all very good examples of this.

I really dont have a limit.. unless if from teams that are FFootball offensive graveyards..

I like to try and "Double Down" on certain QB/WR reciever combos on the same NFL team that I feel will put up beast numbers... which can bite you if they have a bad week.. but worth the rist if you pick the correct duo...
