Dumbly last night I let someone convince me that our league's WW had been based on a last pick system last year, and not based on team rankings/points. So I changed it. Now I have a couple people complaining that was wrong and last pick system was what we used last year. I think they might be right. WW already ran last night, so what do it do to fix it without pissing people off?

Explain yourself clearly, admit you made a mistake, void this week's transactions, and rerun on Friday.

Just admit you made an honest mistake and revert all pickups.

If you have to manually run waivers so be it.

Remember you should never change the rules in your league once the season starts. Rules, even bad ones, are set in stone once the opening game kicks off.

Learn from your lesson. Being Commish, you shouldn't make any moves unless the rest of the league is consulted.

I'd have everyone submit their picks privately & re-roll by hand.

+ No rules changes in the middle of the season.

That's not just a good rule of thumb, it might actually help you here.

>>> Look at your league's posted rules; if there's a reference to no rules changes in the middle of the year or regarding rules changes requiring league votes, use that and quote it verbatim, say you made mistake and follow the rules moving forward. If that happens re-pitch the idea and propose the issue to be changed for next year's season.

It's amazing what being straightforward and honest will do to help smooth blunders.
