Wow, looking back at this... man... very disappointed. Part of it was my own doing, but injuries are already adding up. Tarvaris? Granted he's my backup, but Peyton? Umm he might not even be ready by the start of the season..

Rudi? He was one that many had forgotten about, and I had hopes that he'd bounce back. But his health and all the talk around Cinncy does not make me feel all warm and fuzzy..

My top WR -- Curtis? Oh yeah, out indefinitely with a hernia. AWESOME! The rest of mine are pretty unproven.

I'm going to need a miracle not to get bounced in the first few weeks... :lmao:

You are guaranteed to not get eliminated until the conclusion of week 3. Cumulative Survivor.

QB

9.13 T.Edwards (6)

14.04 JTO (9)

It is going to surprise a number of peeps that I am very comfortable with Edwards as my QB1. I think he looked solid towards the end of 2007 and he has a great WR1 in Evans to throw to. JTO is a crapshoot as a backup with upside.

3.13 B.Jacobs (4)

4.04 L.White (6)

5.13 M.Forte (8)

6.04 R.Mendenhall (6)

Considering I opened WR/WR, I am absolutely ecstatic with this group. 3 starters on run first teams is a good core. I also think the Steelers are playing the cards close to the vest. Mendenhall is the pure definition of a Pittsburgh RB, and I think he will start over Parker sooner rather than later. Chris Johnson’s recent play makes White a bit of a risk, but I think White will hold the first spot in the Titan’s RBBC for 2007.

1.13 R.Wayne (4)

2.04 T.Owens (10)

7.13 I.Bruce (9)

8.04 B.Johnson (9)

12.04 J.Gaffney (4)

18.04 C.Henry (8)

With the first 2 picks going to the slot – WR clearly becomes the anchor of this team. Wayne and Owens are easy picks, but I think I also got great value in both SF starting WRs in 7 and 8, plus 2 players in producing WR3 positions in Gaffney and Henry.

15.13 A.Fasano (4)

17.13 R.Royal (6)

Fasano comes to Miami from Dallas to take over the TE1 role. He knows the system and he is upgraded with Pennington at QB. Royal had 2 scores the other night from Edwards and he should pitch in from time to time. Neither are the next Antonio Gates, but both are under-valued ATM IMO.

11.13 S.Goskowski (4)

13.13 N.Kaeding (9)

Early picks for PKs. I did not like anything else on the board at the time and so I decided to make PK a position of strength.

10.04 NE (4)

16.04 STL (5)

NE is solid. STL is not.

Conclusion -

A solid squad with HUGE bye week issues in week 4 and solid bye week issues in weeks 6 and 9. I'll need to start out HOT to have a shot, but if I make it to the 2nd half I like my chances. Good Luck All........ Looking forward to it!

RW Self analysis

QB:

4.03 Ben Roethlisberger

17.14 Kyle Orton

18.03 Matt Ryan

I like the top 6 QBs this year to be very solid, and I see a pretty big drop between 6 & 7. Getting one of them was high on my list, and it "only" costing a 4th was not bad. QB2 was a problem, as QB value seemed to come off the board just before I was willing to take one in the 6,7,8 rounds. As the chips fell, though, I think I did pretty well. Orton was named the starter, so I got QB2 with some potential to score a couple of points. In 18, I considered Grossman, to lockup the CHI QB spot, in case of failure/injury, but instead took a flyer on Ryan, and was rewarded with him also being named the starter. I should be solid here.

RB:

1.14 Reggie Bush

5.14 Fred Taylor

9.14 Maurice Morris

12.03 Chris Perry

Wow, this went from a weakness to a strength since the draft completed. Reggie as my RB1 is a risk, but with PPR scoring, he'll be good enough. Fred is a solid RB2 in this format, especially given the gap in taking RBs. Morris and Perry landing in starting roles from the 9th & 12th is very good fortune, and I should have some of the most consistent RB scoring with 4 legit RBs.

WR:

2.03 T.J. Houshmandzadeh

3.14 Calvin Johnson

7.14 Sidney Rice

8.03 Ronal Curry

11.14 Derek Hagan

16.03 Josh Morgan

Love my top 2, even with the uncertainty in CIN to post WR1 numbers this year. Cobbling a WR3 score out of Rice, Curry and Hagan will be iffy. I personally think Rice has some potential to break out this year, but I don't think counting on him as your WR3 is a winning stategy.

TE:

5.03 Owen Daniel

Solid, 60+ catch TE. Should finish top 1/2 of TEs, at a reasonable cost. No backup will hurt a bit, but the TE value didn't emerge when I looked in that direction. If you're only going to have one, it should be better than this one.

K:

14.03 Josh Scobee

15.14 Matt Prater

2 kickers, one with distance potential on decent enough offenses to score. Not a strength, but not a hole, either.

DEF:

10.03 San Diego

13.14 Washington

Solid pair, with SD being one of the better DEF in the league an has very good ball skills.

Overall:

Not bad, should get consistent scoring from QB, RB, and DEF. TE will be hit & miss, and WR should be OK, but the WR3 fluctuations will hurt. Getting off to a good start will help here with a lot of late byes, building up a cushion for late bye should help this team through.

I think this is a solid contender to go deep.
