McNabb owners unite (1 Viewer)

Ok so you are scrambling trying to figure out how your team will recover from losing superstud QB McNabb. You just got a giant kick in the nuts on Sunday but it's time to sack up and figure out a way to recover. The good news is that your team is likely near the top of your league in the scoring and record department, but you probably need a win this week to clinch a playoff spot.

If Joey Ballgame is available on your league waiver wire, you need to go get him. Maybe your existing backup QB is a better option. But for guys with Plummer, Carr, or other chumps as a backup, Joey BlueSkies may save the day.

Start Joey with confidence against the lowly Lions. This game will be a high scoring affair and Joey will throw at least 2 TD's. He'll probably throw a couple INT's as well, but he's in store for a productive outing. This is his chance for redemption and payback and he will take advantage.

Traded away Rivers at the deadline - only have Joey and JP left - going Joey in a homecoming route over the hapless Millens! Go Joey!!!

I plan on wearing an old Harrington Lions jersey to the game with a Dolphins logo taped to the front/back. It will be the only time in my life that I have ever cheered for Joey. I am so disgusted with the Lions franchise at this point, that I hope he has a career day against us. Then after he throws for 500 yds and 6TD's, I hope he has enough accuracy left in that PAC-10 arm to fire a perfect spiral straight at the Lion's sideline and right into Matt Millen's nether region.

So you were opposed to letting Joey go?

As I posted in another thread, I like the scenario for Joey on T-day. Not only is he likely wanting to throw against his old team, but I have to wonder how much they want to run Brown also since he's dealing with a sore groin and a short week.

I don't have Harrington, but I'm starting Chambers this week.

My view was that Kitna was not really an upgrade over Harrington, but that neither one of these guys was the long term answer. If Joey was going to improve, it wasn't going to happen in Detroit. So it didn't bother me that they let him go.

Do you really feel the need to depress me more? Joey Harrington is the answer? :pokey:

PS: as far as the revenge factor: Detroits defense is also playing Joey Harrinton. My money is on them on the vengence scale.

I don't blame you - blowing 3 top 7 picks in the draft and the guy still has a job? Not sure how that is possible!! They should have anothe rally to throw him out - he must have pics of the owner!

Apples: I was talking about Harrington's desire to have more passing plays. Harrington getting more passing plays because he wants them is possible. Getting less passing plays because the Lions D doesn't want him to is not possible. The Dolphins call all of the Dolphin's plays. Oranges: Who's more effective due to their motivation. Different angle than what I stated.
