McNabb Owners (1 Viewer)

Considering picking him up & starting him over Hill. Wondering what others are doing in this situation. Do you trust Kolb even though Vick may see some snaps? Evans over at Yahoo says he's a solid buy but I'm not so sure. Here's his writeup:

With Donovan McNabb still ailing and Michael Vick still rusty, Kolb could be an unsung hero for deep-thinking owners in Week 3. The inexperienced backup threw for an attention-grabbing 391 yards and two scores in a lopsided loss to the juggernaut Saints, averaging a respectable 7.7 yards per attempt and completing 60.8 percent of his passes. Andy Reid's offense is pass-centric, but Kolb's breakthrough performance was definitely circumstantial. Still, he's a viable roster candidate in leagues with limited resources, especially this week – a matchup against a hapless Chiefs defense that propelled Joe Flacco's career upward in Week 1 (307 yards, 3 TDs). Kolb, a former second-round pick, has excellent odds of notching 240-260 yards and multiple TDs.FAAB Bid ($100 budget): $3-6

I am surprised that this hasn't gotten much play with Philly playing KC. I have McNabb and Cassel. I am looking to make a move for Edwards in a trade but if that doesn't do down then I am picking up Kolb to start agianst KC.

If I can't get my hand on Edwards or Sanchez, Kolb is heading on my roster as a starter.

Don't trust Garrard as my QB2.

Currently I have McNabb, Eli Manning and Favre as my Qbs. I do not want to start Favre again and Eli's potential is capped. Kolb definitly has the ability as we have seen to post a huge game, as he threw for 391 last week. I think I am going to drop Favre for Kolb and play him until McNabb comes back.

I did want to keep him as Phi would be on the bye in week 4 and Minn plays GB on MNF, Favre could put up huge numbers there. What do you think?

I'm not sure I would drop Favre for Kolb. I'm only thinking about adding him because Hill is my backup. I like Hill but I think Kolb could put up better numbers vs. KC.

The problem is the Eagles have a bye week 4 so you better have a good alternative as your third QB or be ready to drop Kolb the week after since McNabb will be healthy and back at the helm in week 5 and beyond.

I'm in a deeper league, so the real question in this type of league is will Kolb remain the backup or is Vick eventually going to take over this role? If Kolb remains the backup, it's not a bad idea to pick him up & hang onto him with McNabb being so injury prone.Any homers have insight on this?

No, although I do want to replace Quinn (we carry 3 qb's by req).

I think I'm going to keep playing Schaub until McNabb gets healthy.

:coffee: Esp. since many of us seem to have the McNabb/Hasselbeck rib combo. I am going for Leftwich in that league.

That's what I did for today and Leftwich KILLED me!!! He is now dead to me and I am trying to trade for someone else for next week's Eagles bye. Ironic thing is, I dropped J-Campbell for Leftwich and they play each other next week. Any thoughts on who will be worse in that tilt? Ughhhhh
