McNabb owners (1 Viewer)

The Eagles have a decent matchup with the terrible Buccanners on slate. Are McNabb owners rolling the dice and throwing him right back in there, or are you taking a wait-and-see approach to see how he reacts to taking a hit or two?

If you have him, who are you starting him over or sitting him for?

After watching the Bucs play defense these first four weeks I'm not sure how you can bench McNabb if he's definitely starting.

I might play him over Shaub and Flacco...he has had a straight month to recover from the rib injury, that is plenty of time. He will probably also be wearing a flac-jacket, so I would not worry about him getting reinjured at all.

Tampa D is one of the league's worst so far, but Shaub has Arizona and Flacco has the Bengals, both of who have been giving up points to qbs.

A healthy McNabb is almost a must start. Against a team like the Bucs, he doesn't really hafta be 100%

Just so happy he's back. Had to start Pennington and Sanchez in his absence. In 3 weeks combined, they didn't outscore McNabb from week 1. Even a mediocre week from McNabb will be welcomed by me.

Trying to decide between McNabb and Favre (@STL)
I have the same situation. Granted, its a good situation to be in this week. I think I'll take the 2/225 from favre than risk McNabb taking an early shot and them going to Kolb.

Not to get this too far off topic, but I am inclined to agree with you. Also think that PHI may get out to a big lead and pull McNabb to play it safe.

I'm rolling with Shaub this week because 1) one nasty hit brings Kolb back in and 2) HOU vs. ARI looks to be an offensive shootout, so Shaub should be putting it in the air a ton.

Not to :hijacked: this thread, but I more worried about my Desaun Jackson. He really broke loose when Kolb was QB. Wouldn't mind seeing McNabb tackled waist high this weekend.Kolb + Desaun = :moneybag: McNabb + Desaun =

Nice post, I wouldnt mind seeing Jackson break his leg and end his career this weekend.

I'm considering Garrard. He's been hot lately and although the matchup for McNabb is a good one, it being his first game back from an injury like ribs, I like to have them show me they're ready by playing a decent full game. If Philly gets up Tampa Bay, would they keep McNabb in there or would they pull him.

I just don't even like thinking about those kinds of things when I have other quality matchups. I would like to hear that McNabb is doing very well and showing no signs of having an injury, that would make me feel more confident.

Run is not in Andy Reid's vocabulary. Plus, Eagles teams have been great off the bye week under Reid. Start Mcnabb with confidence...It was a 2-4 week injury and it's been four weeks when he plays on Sunday, so I think he should be fine. With Oakland up next, and Kolb more than able to win against Tampa, in my opinion, Reid would not insert Mcnabb if there was a real risk he couldn't go at or near 100%. I could understand if it was the Giants or Cowboys, but would you rush him back for the Bucs?

I'm sticking with Roethlisberger over McNabb until it's clear that Donovan is back and able to play a full game. (Plus Ben gets Detroit).

I was a victim of the McNabb/Hass rib combo, so I'm starting him with orgasmic elation now that I don't have to scrape the wire for guys like Delhomme and Collins anymore.

I'm a Skins fan and hate the Eagles as much as the next guy, but I don't really ever wish for anyone's career to end via injury...a bit harsh here IMO.

I think he was joking considering the post he quoted was hoping for a McNabb injury. Tasteless, honestly. The Shark Pool is flooded with urine lately.

It was a sarcastic reply to a guy coming into a thread about McNabb and posting how he hopes he gets injured this weekend.

I'm sticking with Schaub at Arizona instead of McNabb vs. the Bucs....but that could change Sunday morning.

Hoping the Houston/Arizona game will be high scoring. More concerned about McNabb being pulled if the game gets out of hand early.

I am definite in one league (over Hill, Hasselbeck -- yes, not so hard!) But like a couple of others here, I've got Favre in the other league and, coming off the Monday night high, and probably not needing a lot of points against the Rams to win, I'm not sure how many FF points he's good for. I have McNabb slotted in for now, but am not firm on it.

I think McNabb comes out guns blazing against a weak Tampa team...

Maybe he feels like he has something to prove in light of how well his backup (and eventual replacement?) played in his absence...

I don't know if a month is enough time to heal a cracked rib - I guess it depends on the severity of it. I cracked a rib about 15 years ago, and it was probably the most pain I have ever been in, and it took well over 6 weeks to fully heal

Actually, I'm not sure who to go with either.. I'm going to be watching the weather report sunday morning to help make my decision.

I think it was Couch Potato who showed if a player is starting he should start for your team unless you clearly have better options. If the coach/team thinks player x is healthy enough to play they'll put up their typical game.

I'm considering trading away Brees in one of my leagues to acquire McNabb.

Obvious non-Braylon owner....

Oh come on, can the self-righteous statements about how wishing injury on someone is so horribly improper please stop already? You act like wishing that one of your fantasy opponents players not play or play an incomplete game is actually going to help that injury occur. Give me a break.

I guess it's better to wish a minor illness, a DUI, maybe a failed drug test and league suspension in order to gain an advantage. How about wishing a head cold, maybe even swine flu? Is wishing a concussion to linger a few weeks longer appropriate? How about hoping that bothersome turf toe flares up?

Or how about we wish everyone have the best game they can, playing to the best of their abilities, and after the game the players can visit each other at a local orphanage for some good deeds.

I personally hope my opponent forgets to switch out his bye week guys, or maybe forgets to insert his newly-found waiver wire gem into his starting line-up. It's just like those players died in real life. And then I win. ;-)

Its a game, people. A made-up game that happens to be fun. Stop being such puzzies about things.

I'm starting him over Tony Romo who is facing the hapless Chiefs. That either means I'm confident in McNabb or have no confidence in Romo. I'm not sure still.

So, you're not good enough to win on your won. That's nice.

OK, Scott Farkas.
