With the exception of the KC game at Arrowhead, this looks like a very favorable passing schedule for McNair.

Is he a solid backup or even starter for the remainder of the season?

No question he's a solid backup. I actually picked him up as a starter (in a start 2 QB league).

Billick's play calling seems to agree with Steve.

I was iffy about McNair early in the year, but he's been great with the new play calling.

I have him as a backup to Peyton. If he sits the last 2 weeks, I plug in McNair with confidence.
