Is Big Ben on some post-Super Bowl media tour ? I can't imagine that his QB rating (even after missing 3 games) couldn't have made him at least the #5 AFC quarterback for this game.

According to the Steelers insider website, Roth was offered a chance to play but turned it down to go to the Grammys instead. Go figure.

Compared to the regular season and the playoffs? Yes.

Compared to the Grammys? Not even close.

I had read that he already made a commitment to be at the Grammys and wanted to keep his word. If he had been originally selected to the Pro Bowl he would have probably bowed out due to injuries. Remember that he played hurt for the last month and a half of the season.
